WWE News: The Impact of Suspending Evan Bourne
There is shocking news today out of WWE with word that Matthew Korklan, who performs in the company as Evan Bourne, has been suspended for his first violation with the company's Wellness Policy.
Bourne would probably have been one of the last names fans would have expected to hear this from. Bourne was on one of his hottest runs ever with the company. Bourne was teaming with Kofi Kingston, under the nickname of Air Boom, and were the current WWE Tag Team Champions.
It seemed likely that Air Boom would both be a part of a five-on-five traditional Survivor Series match after their encounter with Christian, Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes last night on RAW. That apparently needs to be scrapped as WWE will have to find a reason to show Bourne as being injured. This suspension essentially means that Air Boom has been grounded as a tag team for the entire month of November.

Survivor Series doesn't have to include the tag team championships on the line, but it certainly will be a hiccup for the team and Bourne individually. Bourne has enjoyed multiple hints at a singles run, which have all ended disappointing for Bourne. When he comes back, another chance at a singles run may be harder to come by for him.
As for his partner, this actually might open the door for Kingston to tease that singles push fans have been clamoring for in recent years.
In a tweet posted on Evan's Twitter (@findevan) in the last half hour, Bourne has stated the following:
""Love you guys! I'll be back in a flash. AirBoom will not be derailed!"
"
WWE is inconsistent with their 30-day title defense clause, so the tag team championships should be safe until December. However, this does put plans to a halt with the emerging tag team division, which was in shambles months ago. Air Boom was revitalizing those titles and making them worth something, but they will likely take a back seat until next month.
What is everyone's thoughts?
Is Evan Bourne's slim chances at a main event push finally over with this announcement? Is this the chance Kofi Kingston needs? What is the future of the tag team division?
There are a lot of unusual questions to be asked today after this morning's shocking announcement.
