Matthew Stafford Injury: Why Lions QB Will Outperform Tim Tebow?
Detroit Lions starting quarterback Matthew Stafford says he's going to start today against Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, and this is great news for the Lions and your fantasy football team.
Stafford sprained his ankle in a loss to the Atlanta Falcons last week, and going into Sunday his status was uncertain.
The matchup against a weak Broncos defense is a favorable one for Stafford. Denver allows about 250 passing yards per game and their ability to create turnovers is not very good.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Broncos are tied for 28th in the NFL with just three interceptions, and against an elite passing offense they will struggle versus the Lions.
Cornerback Champ Bailey, who will one day be enshrined in the pro football hall of fame, will have the unenviable task of covering top wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
Even if Bailey takes away Johnson somewhat, Stafford is still talented enough to get WRs Nate Burleson and Titus Young involved, as well as the very skilled tight end Brandon Pettigrew.
Tebow, on the another hand, has to go up against a very good defense; one led by a star defensive tackle in Ndamukong Suh, who is arguably the toughest defensive tackle to defend.
Suh has three sacks on the season and will wreak havoc on the Broncos offensive line and collapse the pocket.
Tebow is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL in terms of running ball and escaping sacks and turning them into gains, but against the Lions he will have a problem finding running gaps.
The Lions are going to put a ton of points on the board against a weak Broncos defense, which will make Tebow need to throw the ball to lead Denver back in the game.
Tebow cannot lead a team through the air yet because he's not a good NFL passer. He will struggle on Sunday, and lose in his second start of the season.
Stafford will play and star on Sunday for both the Lions and fantasy football teams everywhere.
