NFL Week 8 Picks: Saints, Patriots and More Road Favorites That Will Cover
The 2011 NFL regular season has been difficult to predict, but every week there is a line that is just too good to pass up.
Some of the lines are so nice that one would feel no worries about betting their mortgage payment. I certainly wouldn't advise that, but to each his own. Or hers. Yes, gentlemen, there are ladies that bet just as much if not more than some men. After all, everybody loves winning.
Traveling away from home is never easy, but when you're labeled a favorite in someone else's house, you know that that team is legit. Whether they cover or not is up to how they play on that particular day.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here are three road favorites that will indeed cover the spread.
New Orleans Saints -13.5
The Saints will travel to St. Louis to take on the winless Rams Sunday afternoon, and after demolishing the Indianapolis Colts last week they will do just the same to the struggling Rams.
St. Louis has no answer for Drew Brees, and that is why they will cover. It may look like a large line, but the Saints are far and above the Rams.
St. Louis has had an awfully tough schedule to start the year, and the Rams once again find themselves in a situation where they don't have enough playmakers to keep this at a competitive game.
Prediction: Saints 38, Rams 17
New England Patriots -3
The Patriots hit the road to take on a very talented team in the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday afternoon. This should be the best game of Week 8, and it will be all about offense.
The Steelers have the top passing defense in the league, but they're not going to completely shut down Tom Brady. He's had great success against them in the past, and it will continue on Sunday.
I also expect Ben Roethlisberger to dominate the Patriots less-than-stellar secondary, which means this will be a game that comes down to the wire.
In the end, Brady will prevail because they are coming off their bye week, the Patriots have had plenty of time to prepare for the Steelers.
Prediction: Patriots 31, Steelers 26
Cincinnati Bengals -3
The Bengals head west to challenge the slumping Seattle Seahawks Sunday afternoon, and after their bye week they won't have any trouble covering the spread.
Cincinnati has been a big surprise this season, and their top two picks in the 2011 NFL draft deserve a great deal of credit. Andy Dalton has far exceeded expectations, and with A.J Green by his side it's been very helpful.
The Seahawks do play well at home, but the Bengals are playing solid football on both sides of the ball. Even without Cedric Benson on Sunday, the Bengals will get the job done and pick up a great road victory.
Prediction: Bengals 24, Seahawks 17
