Green Bay Packer Fans Looking Toward Next Season

With five of their losses having been decided by four points or less, the Packers stand at 5-8 in one of the poorest divisions in football.

Who would of thought, even with the departure of Favre, that the Packers’ playoff hopes would be demolished as soon as Week 14. With another fourth quarter of poor "last-minute" defense and play calling, the chances of the Packers making the playoffs are very small.

The following would have to occur in order for Green Bay to secure a playoff berth:

Green Bay must win the remainder of their schedule: Week 15: @Jacksonville (4-9), Week 16: @Chicago (7-6), Week 17: Detroit (0-13).

Minnesota (8-5) Would have to lose the remaining three games on their schedule: Week 15: @ Arizona Cardinals (8-5), Week 16: Atlanta Falcons (8-5), Week 17: New York Giants (11-2).

Chicago (7-6) could not finish better than 1-2 in the three remaining games.

So when this probably won't happen, what's next for the Packers? Here are some questions to ask.

- Was signing Aaron Rodgers to a six-year contract extension worth approximately $65 million halfway through the season really a good move?

- When will we see WR Greg Jennings get that big contract?

- With a healthy defense by next season, can Green Bay revive that 13-3 effort they put on last season on the defensive side of the ball? INJ: Cullen Jenkins, Nick Barnett, Atari Bigby, Al Harris.

- Did we see something that we can keep from linebacker Desmond Bishop versus Houston?

- Can Ryan Grant live up to that big contract he got while ''holding out'' in the late offseason?

- What's our main focus in the draft? OL? DL? RB? LB?—Will their be a change in the role of our Defensive Coordinators?
