Brian Robison Deserved More Than Swift Fine After Obscene Kick to the Groin
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's decision making process on when and how to levy a fine is a joke. There is no sense of context when judging one fine compared to another. That has never been more apparent than it was on Wednesday.
According to the Associated Press, the Vikings defensive end Brian Robison "has been fined $20,000 by the NFL for kicking Packers offensive lineman T.J. Lang in their game Sunday."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Roger Goodell has gone to great lengths to clean up unnecessary violence and maintain the image of the NFL. He has given out $7,500 fines for face masks penalties. Players get warnings and even fines for hits that many don't even feel are illegal.
James Harrison can barely sneeze on a player without getting fined. Here is a clip of many of his hits that were deemed illegal.
Harrison has been fined over $100,000 for his hits. Yet, Roger Goodell feels the following cheap shot only warranted a $20,000 fine.
The Cheap Shot
Conclusion
This is a joke. There is no comparison to this and the other actions we just mentioned that were fined. Those all happened in the course of play.
This came after the play. Robinson kicked an unsuspecting player, and he didn't just kick him; he kicked him in the one spot that violates all man laws. This was a cheap shot of the highest order.
In the new climate of the NFL, this deserved a heftier fine and even a suspension.
