Week 8 Waiver Wire: Andy Dalton and More Must Sign Rookie QBs
Cam Newton is owned in 100 percent of ESPN leagues. He deserves to be owned in all of those leagues. Given Newton's production, it would take something significant for him to not be the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
From a fantasy perspective, you either have Newton or you don't. ESPN does round up in their rankings, but Newton is not a waiver wire option.
As of right now, the next most owned rookie quarterback is Andy Dalton, who's owned in fewer than 13 percent of leagues.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
That's where we're going to start our search for rookie QBs that you must keep on your roster this season. Even if you don't need a quarterback, keep them away from your rivals.
Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals
As is the case with any rookie quarterback (including Newton), Dalton does make some mistakes. However, he's in a favorable matchup this week against Seattle.
Even with both games against the Ravens and Steelers yet to be played, Dalton is still a nice move. The Bengals run the ball a lot, which will limit the mistakes and turnovers.
Christian Ponder, Minnesota Vikings
Ponder had a nice day against the Packers. Like Dalton, he plays on a team that leans heavily on the run, so his mistakes will be limited.
This week, Ponder goes up against the Panthers defense, which is far from daunting. I expect another strong showing from Ponder in this game, and he won't turn it over like he did against Green Bay.
Blaine Gabbert, Jacksonville Jaguars
I know that Gabbert's stats haven't been particularly impressive. However, on Monday night, he didn't turn the ball over once.
Considering they were playing the Ravens defense, I am taking this as a good sign.
Now, the Texans and a bye make for a tough couple of weeks. However, after that, the road is much clearer for Gabbert to start making a huge impact on fantasy rosters everywhere.
