Week 8 Waiver Wire: Should You Pick Up Christian Ponder or Terrell Owens?
Every week, NFL fantasy football owners face critical questions about certain players that may or may not be good waiver wire pickups, and this week, two of the biggest names are Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder and free agent Terrell Owens.
Both could potentially be good waiver wire pickups in fantasy football, but that being said, both could be absolute busts.
Good fantasy owners know how to analyze these players and their potential for fantasy gold.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
At the very least, they could be reliable options on your bench or good trade bait.
Let's break down these two players as fantasy options, and then you can determine whether or not you want them on your roster.
Christian Ponder, QB Minnesota Vikings
The Ponder era has started in Minnesota, and from the first impressions, it looks like he's going to be under center for a very long time. Many people doubted the Vikings drafting him as high as he did, but there is just something about Ponder...
He looks like he can develop into an exceptional quarterback. He's athletic and has good quarterback instincts, and he has a beautiful throw. So far in his young career, he's gone 22-of-49 for 318 yards two touchdowns and two interceptions.
As a fantasy option, it may be worthwhile to pick him up as a keeper pick looking forward to next year, as I think he's going to be great in the future.
Terrell Owens, WR Free Agent
For such a former great player, Owens has really moved around the league in his latter years. Overall, Owens is extremely inconsistent, and the fact that he's missed about six months recovering from tearing his anterior cruciate ligament really hurts him.
He wants to get back in the league, and he held a workout yesterday, but no teams showed up to express interest in him.
As far as a fantasy option this year, he's a horrible grab, and he has no future to look forward to.
