College Football Predictions Week 9: Which Hot Seat Coach Is Gone Next?
Being a head coach in big time college football is a tough business. It's pretty simple, if you do not win ball games for the program there's a good chance your days are numbered.
Of course some coaches have a little more leeway than others. You are on a shorter leash if you coach for Notre Dame or Alabama than if you were coaching at a school like FIU or coaching a young team like Tennessee.
Here are some coaches that are on the hot seat entering Week 9 of the college football season.

Rick Neuheisel, UCLA
1 of 5Neuheisel has coached the Bruins to a brutal 18-26 record in his three and a half seasons at UCLA. He is 3-4 this season but nothing was worse than the 36-point loss to Arizona last week that included a fight.
It's clear Neuheisel has lost this team and once the coach losses the team, the program needs to lose the coach.
Ron Zook, Illinois
2 of 5Illinois was off to a great start when they won their first six games of the season, but as usual Ron Zook has found a way to mess everything up. Since then they've lost two straight to Ohio State and Purdue, teams that have a combined record of 8-6.
Zook is 34-47 since he took the job in 2005 and has only won one bowl game in that time. He always starts the season off nicely but always finds a way to mess things up.
It may be time for Illinois to look elsewhere.
Houston Nutt, Ole Miss
3 of 5Houston Nutt is now 24-21 during his three and a half seasons at Ole Miss. He is also 2-5 this season and it's almost guaranteed that the Rebels will miss the bowl season for the second straight season.
Ole Miss almost upset the Arkansas Razorbacks last week but almost doesn't count. A game against Auburn this week will remind the country just how bad this team really is and that it's time for Nutt to go.
Frank Spaziani, Boston College
4 of 5Spaziani took the job in 2006 and since 2007 this program has been an irrelevant 17-17. The Eagles have only won one bowl game since 2006 and are off to a 1-6 start this season.
Things don't look to be getting any better for this program either as Boston College still has to play Florida State, Notre Dame and Miami.
Boston College deserves better and Spaziani appears to be the wrong man for the job.
Paul Wulff, Washington State
5 of 5Paul Wulff has a terrible 8-36 record in his three-plus seasons as Washington State head coach. The Cougars have yet to even sniff a bowl game under Wulff and it appears this season will be the same.
With teams like Oregon, Arizona State, California and Washington still on the schedule, Washington State may be lucky to win another game the rest of the season.
