Saturday will give us a battle of two Big 12 teams on losing streaks. The Kansas Jayhawks will travel to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns.

The Jayhawks on the on the other hand haven't proven that they are capable of stopping anyone. They have lost five straight games since starting the season 2-0.
The last time these teams played was 2009, when Texas won 51-20.

Betting Line
Texas (-28.5), according to Bodog. Given the Longhorns' recent struggles, this might seem excessive. Really, it's not. The Jayhawks have been dismal this season, after a 2-0 start.
Since beating Northern Illinois, the Jayhawks have dropped five straight games. In four of them, they have lost by 29 points or more.
You always have to be cautious about spreads that big, but this not as big of a gamble as it normally is.
Key Storyline
Can Texas regain some of the magic that they had before Oklahoma and Oklahoma State beat them handily in consecutive weeks?
From Kansas' perspective, their season is lost. But can they get their season going in the right direction?
Who Might Not Play for Kansas
DB John Williams (knee), and WR Daymond Patterson (groin) are out for the season.
RB Rell Lewis (undisclosed), and LB (ribs) are questionable.
Who Might Not Play for Texas
QB Garrett Gilbert (shoulder), and S Nolan Brewster (concussion) are out for the season.
DB Adrian Phillips (arm) is doubtful.
DT Ashton Dorsey (hip), LB Jordan Hicks (hamstring), and LB Demarco Cobbs (arm) are questionable.
BCS/Top 25 Implications
Kansas is done. Their chances at the BCS are done. Their chances at any bowl are gone. All that they can do is bust someone else's chances.
Texas needs to run the table. It's hard to see them getting into the BCS this year, barring an absolute collapse from some teams that are ahead of them. But, given that they are currently No. 24, the Top 20 is not an outrageous goal for the Longhorns. They have to beat Kansas and beat them convincingly for that to happen.
What They're Saying
Carter Strickland of HornsNation feels that despite an average of 30 points per game, Texas needs to become far more aggressive.
""The Longhorns are also averaging just 203.5 passing yards per game. That is clearly not enough. To get more, Texas has to get vertical.
"
Kansas is not only on a five-game losing streak, but they haven't allowed fewer than 46 points in that run. This is Texas' chance to find that.
Kansas Player to Watch
Quarterback Jordan Webb needs to be stellar to keep the Jayhawks in this game. He's been good this year. Webb has 12 touchdowns against five interceptions and a completion percentage of better than 67.
He'll need to be at least that good on Saturday.
Texas Player to Watch
Malcolm Brown and Foswhitt Whittaker. If they control the game, this will be a laugher.
On the Hotseat
Both coaches are. Mack Brown is probably safe, but the more the Longhorns struggle, the louder the grumblings get.
For Turner Gill in Kansas, they need to be more competitive. Their performance in 2011 has been unacceptable.
Prediction
Texas is too good. This will be another blowout.
