Week 8 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Jackie Battle and RBs You Must Sit
Even though the RB position is still very crucial to having success in fantasy football, it's becoming slightly easier to figure out which RBs to bench as pro football continues to evolve into more of a passing league.
We're not just talking screen passes or check-downs, we're talking of the launching the ball deep numerous times per game. That being said, RBs scoring high on a consistent basis is becoming more rare.
So, here are three RBs you must sit in Week 8.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jackie Battle, Chiefs (vs. Chargers)
Now with the Chiefs, it's not so much about throwing the ball as it is the recent improved defensive performances.
Additionally, Jackie Battle continues to split carries with Dexter McCluster, and QB Matt Cassel still has a strong arm and the ability to extend plays. To that end, Battle must also sit this week, as the Chargers' defense will stack the box and force Cassel to beat them.
This will allow them to limit Battle's yardage and will make Kansas City one dimensional. Also, San Diego is eager for a win because a loss this week and they'll fall fast, so preventing that includes the isolation of the Chiefs' ground game.
Beanie Wells, Cardinals (at Ravens)
Although he may be a solid No. 2 or flex fantasy starter, Cardinals RB Beanie Wells must sit this week against the Ravens. For one, he's not Maurice Jones-Drew and two, Arizona will have a better chance of moving the ball through the air, as that is their strength.
If Wells is used for anything against Baltimore, it will be to keep the Ravens' defense honest so Kevin Kolb has a bit more time to toss a few up to WR Larry Fitzgerald.
As much as Baltimore likes to blitz and mix up schemes, Wells will be needed more as an extra body for pass protection because the Ravens' No. 3-ranked rush defense isn't going to budge.
Cedric Benson, Bengals (at Seahawks)
Although Bengals RB Cedric Benson has performed respectably this season, he must take a seat in Week 8 against Seattle's No. 11-ranked rush defense.
And it's not so much that Benson won't do well, but he's not going to get very many opportunities because Seattle's weakness is against the pass. Cincinnati, by the way, happens to have rookie WR A.J. Green and TE Jermaine Gresham to stretch the Seahawks' coverages.
Benson will most likely gain more yards receiving than rushing this week, and Seattle does play much, much better at home.
That said, rookie QB Andy Dalton will take flight, because getting a quick and early lead in the northwest is the key, otherwise Seattle can sneak back with the crowd behind them.
