WWE Vengeance 2011 Results: Why Sheamus vs. Christian Feud Must End Immediately
The "Celtic Warrior" Sheamus beat Christian for the second consecutive pay-per-view at Vengeance on Sunday in what was little more than a throw-away match. Both Sheamus and Christian are talented performers who deserve more than a meaningless mid-card match.
Neither superstar has had a defined direction over the past couple months, and because of that, they were thrown into a feud together. Both wrestlers are good in the ring and on the mic, so the feud hasn't been a disaster, but there isn't anything pulling in the audience.
With that said, Vengeance should mark the final pay-per-view match between Sheamus and Christian.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The feud hasn't done either of them any favors, as Sheamus did what he was supposed to do in beating the cowardly heel, and Christian has continued to fall down the ladder with each loss.
Both competitors need something fresh, and now seems like the perfect time to change things up.
Sheamus has been red hot since his face turn and has gotten a better crowd reaction than the entire roster sans John Cena, CM Punk and Randy Orton.
The no contest between World Heavyweight champion Mark Henry and Big Show at Vengeance likely means that Big Show will get one more match. But, after that, Sheamus needs to be Henry's next challenger.
Sheamus is the fastest-rising face in the company, and no other face is physically imposing enough to pose a true threat to Henry. Sheamus and Henry had a short-lived feud in the summer that culminated in Henry beating Sheamus via count out at SummerSlam, but it hardly seemed like a proper resolution.
I'm not sure if the WWE should take the title from Henry quite yet, but if somebody else is going to hold it, then it should most definitely be Sheamus.
That would solve one half of the equation, but what would Christian do?
There aren't any obvious feuds available for Christian at the moment, so I think he should get involved with a bigger angle. It is becoming increasingly obvious that John Laurinaitis is pulling the strings in a conspiracy against Triple H.
The group currently includes The Miz, R-Truth and Kevin Nash, as they all interfered in high-profile matches at Vengeance. But, I think there is room for Christian as well.
Christian took credit for threatening to take litigation against Triple H and has been very friendly with Laurinaitis, so the partnership makes sense.
Despite the fact that Laurinaitis announced a tag-team match between Awesome Truth and John Cena with a partner of his choice (Cena chose The Rock) at Survivor Series, I think that match will eventually evolve into a five-on-five match for control of the WWE.
Laurinaitis' team could feature Miz, Truth, Nash, Christian and another superstar against Triple H's team of himself, Cena, Rock, Sheamus (since Big Show will likely get one rematch against Henry) and an additional superstar.
This would at least give Christian some purpose and some air time, as he could be made to look strong thanks to strength in numbers.
It may not be a long-term situation, but it would be far better than being a jobber to the stars, which is what he has done against Sheamus and Orton over the past few months.
Both Sheamus and Christian have the potential to be main-event performers in the WWE, and under the right conditions, they will be moving forward.
The fact of the matter is that their talent has been wasted in a senseless feud against each other, so the best course of action is to separate them, regardless of what they move on to next.
