The 10 Craziest Finishes in UFC History
We've all heard the famous saying of,
"I cannot believe what I just saw!"
And, if you're a UFC fan, you've probably heard this more than once.
Over the years, UFC fans have had the privilege of witnessing some of the craziest finishes of all time.
Through these spectacular finishes, we've been able to see some of the greatest upsets, knockouts and submissions of all time.
The following slides display the 10 craziest finishes in UFC history.

10. UFC 76: Forrest Griffin vs. Mauricio Rua
1 of 10It was the biggest fight of Forrest Griffin's career when he stepped inside the Octagon at UFC 76 to take on Brazilian legend, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
Rua, the favorite heading into the bout, found himself in an "all he could handle type" of fight as Griffin showed the world he was the real deal .
Round 2 shaped up as the fight appeared to be heading towards a career-defining moment for Griffin. But Rua continued to battle away.
As the third and final round appeared to be heading to the judge's scorecards, it was Griffin who stole the show, submitting Rua via rear naked choke with just 15 seconds remaining in the round.
9. UFC 92: Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir I
2 of 10It was the UFC debut for Brock Lesnar when he stepped foot inside the Octagon to take on the highly dangerous Frank Mir.
Lesnar, who promised he would finish Mir, found himself in a dilemma early into the bout.
Showing his lack of experience in submission defense, Lesnar was caught in a tight kneebar just a little over a minute into the first round.
Mir held on for dear life as Lesnar tapped at just 1:30 in the very first round, topping off one of the craziest fights in UFC history.
8. UFC 69: George St-Pierre vs. Matt Serra
3 of 10It was just Georges St-Pierre's first title defense opportunity when he met Matt Serra at UFC 69 in Houston.
St-Pierre, the heavy favorite, was rocked by Serra early.
Serra chased down St-Pierre and began to pound away as the champion appeared to be in shock.
St-Pierre made every last effort to recover but was too hurt as Serra continued to throw bombs, finishing the champ at 3:25 in the very first round.
7. UFC Fight Night 13: Nate Diaz vs. Kurt Pellegrino
4 of 10It was Kurt Pellegrino who dominated action early against Nate Diaz at UFC Fight Night 13 in Broomfield, Colo.
Pellegrino took down Diaz not too long after the two touched gloves. At times, Diaz appeared to be defenseless as Pellegrino began pouring on blows to every part of Diaz's body.
After escaping Round 1, Diaz was taken down again in the second frame as the domination continued.
But, about midway through the second round, Diaz connected on a spectacular Triangle Choke that led him to victory.
6. UFC Live: Cheick Kongo vs. Pat Barry
5 of 10Fireworks went off early at UFC Live on Versus: Kongo vs. Barry when the two heavyweights took center stage for the main event of the evening.
Barry pressured early, absolutely rocking Kongo. After another blow, Kongo was on the ground and attempted to find his way back to his feet.
Barry knocked him down again as the fight appeared to be coming to a close.
But, it was Kongo who landed a huge blow to Barry, knocking him out cold just 2:39 into the first round, capping off one of the craziest finishes in UFC history.
5. UFC 52: Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg II
6 of 10Things didn't go as planned for Matt Hughes when he circled the Octagon with Frank Trigg at UFC 52 in their second meeting.
As Hughes entered in early, it was Trigg who rocked the then-UFC Welterweight champion.
Trigg was dominating as he found himself in back control and eventually placing an extremely tight rear naked choke on Hughes.
Hughes escaped and carried Trigg across the Octagon before slamming him to the ground and applying a fascinating rear naked choke that led him to victory.
4. UFC Fight Night 11: Chris Leben vs. Terry Martin
7 of 10While things are usually crazy when Chris Leben is scheduled to fight, they got a little bit crazier when he met Terry Martin at UFC Fight Night 11 in Las Vegas, Nev.
It was your typical Leben fight, as he was swinging for the fences the entire first two rounds.
To the fans' joy, Martin was exchanging his fair share of hay-makers as the crazy bout headed to the third and final round.
It was Martin who rocked Leben half way through the third as the fight appeared to be coming to an end.
But, Leben pushed forward, landing a huge blow that eventually knocked out Martin for good.
3. TUF Finale 6: Clay Guida vs. Roger Huerta
8 of 10Clay Guida entered the Ultimate Fighter Finale 6 as the heavy favorite over up-and-coming lightweight Roger Huerta.
Guida was his normal self, as he overwhelmed Huerta with his speed and aggressiveness.
In fact, at times it appeared Huerta was helpless as "The Carpenter" took him down on six different occasions throughout the fight.
But, in the third and final round, Huerta was the one to steal the show as he dropped Guida to the ground before submitting him via rear naked choke just under a minute into the round.
2. UFC 95: Josh Koscheck vs. Paulo Thiago
9 of 10Josh Koscheck and Paulo Thiago squared off in what would go down as one of the craziest fights of all time at UFC 95.
Koscheck had the London crowd on their feet early as he was swinging for the fences often.
To Thiago's credit, he dodged in and out of every Koscheck blow, but fans were soon anticipating a blow that would knock Thiago out for good.
But, that blow never came as Thiago countered a Koscheck strike, landing a huge left hook that sent "Kos" to the ground for good.
1. UFC 117: Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen
10 of 10In what ended up being arguably the craziest finish in mixed martial arts history, the UFC's Middleweight champion, Anderson Silva met Chael Sonnen in UFC 117's main event.
To the world's surprise, it was Sonnen who rocked Silva early and often.
Sonnen took Silva down time and time again as he began to unleash vicious blows to every part of Silva's body.
Sonnen continued his dominance until the fifth and final round when Sonnen was just two minutes away from being declared the new Middleweight champion.
At 3:10 in the final frame, Silva caught Sonnen in an amazing triangle armbar that allowed him remain the 185-pound champion.
