Week 8 Waiver Wire: Why You Must Drop Tim Hightower and These Injured Enigmas
How little we know ye, Tim Hightower.
After posting some serious fantasy numbers over the first quarter of the season, registering at least double-digits (ESPN standard scoring) in his first three games.
Then, he was dealing with a hamstring injury that limited him the past three games. No big deal, as he looked rejuvenated, collecting 88 yards with plenty of game to go Sunday. Crunch, snap, goodbye…Hightower tore his ACL.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Drop him this instant, as he will be out for the remainder of the season.
Here are two other players that aren’t out for the year, but are still worthy of getting the boot off your roster for the remainder of the season:
LaDainian Tomlinson, RB: New York Jets
L.T. was supposed to have a huge game with the additional motivation of playing against his former team the Chargers. Instead, he had five carries for 14 yards and three catches for 37 yards before leaving with some sort of undisclosed illness.
While he will likely play after his team's Week 8 bye, just get rid of him. He hasn’t rushed for more than 38 yards and has registered less than five fantasy points (ESPN standard leagues) in all but two games this season.
Tomlinson is a shell of his former self and isn’t going to be improving anytime soon. Get rid of L.T. for good, especially as the much younger Shonn Greene continues to improve.
Willis McGahee, RB: Denver Broncos
He was turning into a fantasy stud before breaking his hand against Miami. He’ll likely miss at least two to three games, and it’s a devastating blow.
As Tim Tebow is more incorporated into the offense, the running backs in Denver will have almost no fantasy value in the coming weeks.
Tebow is the ultimate touchdown vulture that will gobble up the points away from McGahee when he returns…assuming his hand heals properly.
