WWE Vengeance 2011: What's Next for Big Show After Loss to Mark Henry?
Mark Henry retained the World Championship at WWE Vengeance on Sunday night, after his match against The Big Show ended in very dramatic fashion.
And by dramatic fashion, I mean that the ring broke from a huge suplex from the second rope.
Haven’t seen that one since Show versus Brock Lesnar. All I can say about the end of this match is, well done.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Here’s the thing. When two big monsters like Henry and Show square off, it’s a big bruising fight. There’s not much running the ropes, no dramatic, fast paced action can be found here.
Basically, it’s just two freight trains crashing head on.
This is not to take away from the match however. For these two behemoths, this was overall a good match.
High impact, hard nosed action, that was the name of the game.
Show’s bid at redemption against the man who put him on the shelf was a long time coming, and this match was his ticket back to relevancy in the company.
Show is a big likable guy, a worker that fans enjoy watching, not only for the novelty of his size, but the fact that he is a veteran who has done it all. He also has a smile that lights up the room.
There is an air of confidence about Big Show, a feeling that he is in complete control of every situation he’s in. And, really, why wouldn’t he be?
Look at him. Wouldn’t you feel pretty good about your chances?
But when he was manhandled by Mark Henry, his character’s outlook totally changed.
He realized that he was not infallible, that there was someone who could do the sort of damage that he himself had done for years in the business.
Show was unstoppable, and Henry disagreed.
Mark Henry is still the World Champion. While some fans believed that Vengeance may have been the night that he would be brought back down to earth, Mark proved that he belongs in the top spot, in more ways than one.
So, what’s next for The Big Show?
I believe it’s a safe bet that this feud is not over. Not by a long shot.
For me, this match has not resolved anything, as the problems between these two are still very much alive and well.
Show is left with vengeance unanswered, and Mark Henry has not proved that he can beat The World’s Largest Athlete.
Of course, Henry is a heel, so he will likely make the very valid point that Show had to be carted off, while he got up under his own power.
Henry believed that Show had done nothing to earn the title match against him, so he will probably deny a rematch after this. But, Big Show can be persuasive.
Very persuasive.
I don’t know if Show will eventually end up with the World Title, but I feel that there is another match in the cards for these two. It’s good for Henry to continue to prove his dominance as champion.
It’s also good for Show, as it puts him back in the spotlight and reestablishes him as a the big time performer that he is, in every sense of the word.
