Kansas City Chiefs: Brandon Flowers Blossoms in Shutout Win at Oakland
After allowing a huge touchdown two weeks ago in Indianapolis and catching heat from fans and the media, Brandon Flowers has turned in his best game in a Chiefs uniform.
Flowers hauled in two interceptions, returning one of them 58 yards for a touchdown. However, Flowers only accounted for a third of Kansas City's total interceptions, where the team intercepted the ball six times, three from Kyle Boller and three from newly acquired quarterback Carson Palmer.
The chaos started on Oakland's opening drive when safety Kendrick Lewis jumped in front of Jacoby Ford and took it all the way back for a score.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Boller had started the game, going 7-of-14 with 61 yards. Boller played the whole first half, as well as Oakland's first drive of their second half, which stalled after going three and out. On Oakland's next outing, coach Hue Jackson had seen enough and decided to put Carson Palmer in.
The Chiefs' defense barely noticed.
They continued to put heat on the quarterback, forcing Palmer to throw three interceptions of his own. Palmer had some nice throws, but also threw a few balls that left his intended receivers scratching their heads.
Also getting in on the action were Brandon Carr, Travis Daniels and Jon McGraw, each with an interception of their own.
The Chiefs will have a relaxing plane ride home, and then will prepare for the San Diego Chargers in a "Monday Night Football" showdown. If Kansas City wins that game, there will be a three-way tie for first place in the AFC West.
