Week 7 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Tim Tebow and 3 Must Starts

Eric BowmanOct 21, 2011

Nobody likes to lose, especially when it's to your buddies in fantasy football. That's why you have to be a savvy owner and make smart plays for Sunday.

Each week there are the guys you know who will stink, the ones you know will shine and those you just aren't too sure about. This is were we come in. Leave a comment and we'll do our best to hit you back in a timely manner to help guide you with your decision.

Everybody knows the guys who are going to start every week, but the key to success is picking the right No. 2 or flex option to help you win.

Here are three must-starts for Week 7.

Tim Tebow

It's finally Tebow time for the Denver Broncos, as well as your fantasy team. Now is the best time to start Tebow because he's taking on a less-than-stellar Miami Dolphins defense.

Tebow will make plays with his arms and his legs, even though he just lost his top receiver right at the trade deadline.

The Broncos' new QB motivates his team to play well, and he's going to put up great fantasy points whether he wins the game or not. Dual threat quarterbacks are golden in fantasy football, and Tebow will come through on Sunday afternoon.

Mark Ingram

Ingram has scored a touchdown in three of the last four weeks, and now he is back at home taking on the depleted Indianapolis Colts.

The Saints running back hasn't exploded by any means yet, but that's because he splits time with Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles. Both Thomas and Sproles are used more in the passing game, whereas Ingram is going to get the red-zone touches.

The Colts have allowed a 100-yard rusher in the past three games, and while I don't think Ingram rushes for that much, it's a good indication that the Saints will have great success on the ground. Ingram will find the end zone on Sunday night, and he's a solid No. 2 option at running back this week.

The Baltimore Ravens top receiver hasn't been a fantasy stud, and chances are he's been on your bench a few times this season. That is, unless you're rather thin at wide receiver, which would stink because Boldin has one touchdown catch this season.

However, he is a must-start this week after recording a season high 132 yards. That's almost has many yards as his last three games combined. He still didn't find the end zone, but it's a good sign that he and Joe Flacco are starting to really connect.

Boldin plays on Monday night against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that has allowed at least 70-plus yards and a touchdown catch to No. 1 receivers in the last two games.

Jacksonville does have a top 10 pass defense, so Ray Rice will get a lot of work, but expect Flacco to air it out from time to time, and Boldin will be his favorite target.
