Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 7: Ronnie Brown and 4 Players Worth Adding
It seems even though players will be added and dropped each week in fantasy football, newcomers arise with some potential regardless of previous performances.
The following list has two players who could possibly help, but nonetheless are worth adding, while the other two may help even more.
Ronnie Brown: RB, Detroit

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Just acquired by the Lions in a trade with Philly, it was a good move for Detroit as RB Jahvid Best is out with a concussion and rookie Mikel Leshoure being out since before game one.
And who did you think was going to fill the void once Best got injured? Maurice Morrie or Jerome Harrison? Both combined for not even 70 yards on the year, so it was imperative that Detroit try to improve.
So they did with Brown, and he is a good pickup for now as he'll receive the bulk of the carries.
He's also a solid pickup because Detroit's passing offense is threatening enough, that Brown won't be nearly as respected by defenses and his wildcat ability gives the Lions another dimension to their offense.
Preston Parker: WR, Tampa Bay
Sure you've heard of Preston Parker before right? Well, unless you're a die-hard Bucs' fan then likely not.
However, Parker is Tampa's leading WR in yards (268) and TDs (two), as well as second in yards-after-catch (108).
Now yes, Tampa is not really explosive in the passing game, but if you need a No. 3 WR/flex backup, you can't go wrong with Parker as he's been the most productive for the Buccaneers.
Obviously he is a risky start, but it never hurts to have guys on the bench who have the potential to produce.
Alex Smith: QB, San Francisco
After his worst performance of the season last week against the Lions in Detroit, 49ers' QB Alex Smith may have become available in most leagues, if not at least a few (worst-case scenario).
Sure San Fran may have won, but you can thank RB Frank Gore for that, but don't think Smith is going to keep playing that bad because with a stout defense and ground game around him, along with some good receiving weapons, Alex will get back on track.
Chances are a lot of teams dropped him for Carson Palmer and quite possibly even Tim Tebow.
Therefore, Smith could very well be a steal this late in the year since most have likely become skeptical with his last performance. Definitely keep him on your bench, but he's not a bad start if your leagues starts two QBs.
Cincinnati Bengals' Defense
Although Cincinnati has yet to really get into divisional play, their defense is for real and is Top 10 worthy.
Now the second half of their schedule is rather tough, but this year, unlike previous years, the Bengals are forcing more three-and-outs as opposed to living off turnovers.
In turn, that is going to not only win them games but score you more fantasy points because they won't be allowing hardly any themselves.
Additionally, that will then allow them to force more turnovers late in the year, as their confidence will be much higher and opposing offenses will become desperate to move the chains against them.
If they're not your starting defense that's okay, but don't leave them on the bench just because it's the Bengals.
