USC vs. Notre Dame: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More
USC vs. Notre Dame is one of the greatest rivalries in sports. It isn't a respectful game like the Red River Rivaly. These two teams hate each other and it's always fun to turn on the TV and watch them go at it every season.
This year is particularly interesting because both teams are extremely competitive. While USC isn't BCS eligible, they are just about dead-locked with Notre Dame so far this season. Notre Dame is trying to break into the rankings and this game is sure to come down to the wire.
Let's take a closer look at the matchup.

Take the points. USC hasn't beaten anyone worth mentioning and Notre Dame won the game last season, but it's impossible to say either team is going to win by a nine-point margin. It's in Notre Dame, but let's not let one win over Michigan State confuse us into thinking the Irish are invincible.

BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications
USC isn't eligible to crack the BCS rankings this season, but Notre Dame is right on the brink of doing so. They are right on the bubble and a win against the Trojans would easily catapult them into the Top 25. A loss would make for an even steeper uphill battle for the Irish, who already have two losses on the season and can't afford to lose any more games before they have to square off with Stanford.
Key Storyline
USC seeks redemption over Notre Dame after losing to the Irish a year ago. They can't make a bowl game this season, so they have to look for moral victories elsewhere. Beating Notre Dame wouldn't take away the pain of not being bowl eligible, but it helps.
What They’re Saying
LA Times' Lane Kiffin:
"There were a lot of snaps, especially in the first half, where (Robert Woods) was getting a corner sitting inside of him and safety on top of him," Kiffin said. "There aren't many routes that work very well versus that."
USC isn't at their best if Robert Woods and Matt Barkley aren't in synch. They can be a lethal connection when they are on point and they'll need to get back to on track in order to beat the Fighting Irish.
NBC Sports' Brian Kelly:
"My feelings are that it’s a rivalry because of its tradition and its history. I don’t make too much of it. We don’t sit here and pontificate about the great games that have been played between USC and Notre Dame. They know those things. My job is to prepare our football team to play well on that one Saturday.”
If Kelly were to speak tactics he's using to hype up his team, that would send a huge red flag shooting up. Every player on both side should know what time it is. This is USC vs. Notre Dame. Both teams hate each other, both happen to be decent and if there is someone who has trouble bringing it in this game, it might be time to find a different sport.
USC Player to Watch: Matt Barkley
Matt Barkley is one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. He's not a flavor of the month like Robert Griffin III, he's not the best prospect since Peyton Manning like Andrew Luck and he isn't a National Championship contender like Kellen Moore or Landry Jones.
For that reason, he's grossly underrated. Even so, the Trojans wouldn't have anyone else under center for this game. This could easily be his last season at USC and a signature performance is likely on its way.
Notre Dame Player to Watch: Tommy Rees
Tommy Rees looks better every time we see him. He threw a pair of picks in each of his first two starts and not so coincidentally, those happened to be Notre Dame's only two losses. He hasn't done so since and they've won four straight. He's got to protect the football for them to win this one.
Key Matchup: Robert Woods vs. Notre Dame secondary
Robert Woods has eclipsed the 100-yard mark four times already this season, but looks to rebound after a disappointing game last week. Notre Dame doesn't want Woods to take over this game and Kelly has to be dissecting the Cal film to try to replicate the Bears' success against him.
Prediction: USC 31, Notre Dame 28
