WWE Vengeance 2011: Why Mark Henry Must Defeat Big Show in Title Match
Ever since defeating Big Show at Money in the Bank, Mark Henry has been on the greatest roll of his entire career. He has since squashed the likes of Kane and Great Khali, and he captured the World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton at Night of Champions.
Henry then went on to defend his title against Orton at Hell in a Cell, making him one of the more credible and dangerous heel champions in recent memory. With all of that said, all the work that has been done to build up Henry over the past few months would be undone if he loses to Big Show at Vengeance.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Big Show is a nice guy to have around at this point in his career, but he really shouldn't be anywhere other than the upper mid-card. His size makes him a spectacle, and he can move fairly well still, but he has already reached the top of the mountain and isn't interesting enough to be there again.
Henry, on the other hand, is clearly a late bloomer who simply needed an altered gimmick and a good push. His in-ring skills are certainly weak, but Henry's current character of a dominant monster is highly entertaining and a nice change of pace from the normal weaselly heel.
He has been utilized to perfection to this point and that is why he absolutely needs to defeat Big Show on Sunday. Any other result, even if it is a Big Show victory via disqualification or count out, would tarnish Henry's impressive record since turning heel.
The best part of Henry's persona is that he isn't afraid of anyone, and that he accepts and conquers every challenge. Big Show has gotten the better of Henry since returning, understandable because Big Show needs to look like a credible threat, but the WWE has a good thing going with Henry that Big Show has no business ruining.
In my opinion, this ought to be a one-off match as well. Big Show obviously had to come back and feud with Henry since Henry put him out of action, but we already saw this feud a few months ago. Henry needs to win this match cleanly and move on to someone else like Sheamus.
Henry had a brief feud with Sheamus during the summer and beat him via count out at SummerSlam, but there was never really a proper resolution. Also, the matches would figure to be far more entertaining since Sheamus is an excellent worker for a big man.
Ultimately, Henry needs to continue to hold the title and look good while doing it. The WWE has done an awesome job of that so far, but they're certainly known for spoiling a good thing. Let's hope they do the right thing on Sunday, though, and give Henry another clean victory.
