Carson Palmer Trade Rumors: Bengals Will Not Trade QB out of Spite
Carson Palmer led the Cincinnati Bengals to a 4-12 record in 2010 and demanded a trade immediately after.
Bengals owner Paul Brown refused on the grounds that he drafted the QB with the first overall pick back in 2003 and the team was relying on him to continue leading them.
Palmer then issued the ultimate slap in the face to the Bengals and their owner. He said he would rather retire than ever wear a Cincinnati jersey or step into their stadium again.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Brown took the high road and let the man retire; who is now rotting away at the age of 31 and missing the latter parts of the prime of his NFL career.
Since Palmer left, Andy Dalton has led the team to a 4-2 record going into a bye and seems to be a better leader and quarterback than his predecessor for this team.
Now, you may be thinking why won’t the Bengals trade Carson now that they have obviously found a replacement?
Because they don’t want his stench on the team any longer:
""I think our organization is very firm in the statement that Carson is, as everybody knows here, retired," coach Marvin Lewis said. "We have moved on and that's enough to be said because we don't need to make anymore headlines for any reason other than what we do on Sundays. That's the only thing that counts."
"
The Carson Palmer news is going to die down today after the 4 p.m. ET trade deadline and Brown will have his final victory this season when his former QB is watching his old team make the playoffs behind an unproven rookie.
No trade offer possible would be sweeter than that.
Keep it tuned to Bleacher Report for the latest news on the NFL trade deadline as it’s happening.
