NFL Trade Rumors: Oakland Raiders Among Teams That Should Go After Kyle Orton
The odds of a Kyle Orton trade right now are very small, according to Rotoworld and Adam Schefter.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos are unlikely to deal Kyle Orton before the October 18 trade deadline.
"He's going to finish the season in Denver," said Schefter on SportsCenter, "...because of that overbearing salary." Orton has a $7.379 million base salary, and any interested team would have to pay the majority of it if they were to acquire him. ESPN's John Clayton also considers an Orton trade unlikely.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Broncos should be kicking themselves for not completing an Orton trade when they had the chance with the Dolphins in late July.
With that being said, Orton has been benched for Tim Tebow but he is still a viable starter in the NFL. Certain teams would be smart to make an attempt at acquiring his services.
Here's a look at three of those teams.
Oakland Raiders
The Raiders just lost Jason Campbell for the season and David Garrard is no longer an option.
Kyle Boller isn't the type of quarterback that can lead a team to the playoffs and Terrelle Pryor is far from ready. Oakland's solution can't come internally.
That leaves very few options, but Kyle Orton is one of those options.
He would be asked of far less than he was in Denver as he would just have to manage the offense, limit his turnovers and hand the ball off to Darren McFadden.
It's certainly not a perfect fit for Oakland, but Orton is an upgrade over any of their other options.
Miami Dolphins
Boy that Chad Henne experiment sure worked out, huh?
The Dolphins kept on insisting that Henne was their QB of the future, but now that he's lost for the season you have to wonder if they'll give him another shot.
Matt Moore, a five-year veteran out of Oregon State, surely isn't the answer, either.
Orton's best season coincidentally came in 2009 when he had the ability to throw to stud WR Brandon Marshall.
If Orton were to go to Miami, it would reconnect the duo that hooked up for 101 receptions and 10 touchdowns in '09.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have a good enough offensive line, the best running back in the NFL and a solid defense.
Why are they so bad, you ask. They are bad because Donovan McNabb is their quarterback.
We have yet to get a good look at rookie Christian Ponder, but if Minnesota wants to keep him on the sideline for a year or two, Kyle Orton would serve as an immediate upgrade over McNabb.
That would immediately make the Vikings a much better team.
