Fantasy Football Week 6: Aaron Rodgers and More Threats to Win Matchups Alone
Particularly now that we're in our second straight week with six teams on a bye, there is a very good chance that you (or your opponent) has some big-name players on a bye.
If you do have big players on a bye, you had better hope that you aren't matched up against any of these guys. The matchups are there for these guys to have huge weeks.
As a matter of fact, these guys might score enough points to win weeks for their fantasy teams on their own. If they don't, they won't need much help from the fantasy teammates.

Report: Rodgers Gets 'Rare' Tender

Re-Drafting the Last 5 Rookie Classes 🤯
The Rams are going to have an awfully hard time keeping this competitive. Their secondary is absolutely depleted, and the Packers are not the right team to be playing against in that situation.
Aaron Rodgers has more big play receiving options than I care to count. When you consider how good he actually is, the receivers he has, and the opponents' weaknesses, this one has potential to be a gigantic day.
If he threw for five touchdown passes and 400 yards, I wouldn't be at all surprised. I am sure happy that I don't have to deal with him this week.
I actually don't quite buy the notion that this will be a blowout. If I had to pick a winner, it would be Detroit, but I think the 49ers will keep it close.
Still, there is one glaring problem for fantasy owners going against Calvin Johnson.
The 49ers still have a questionable secondary, and the rest of their defense can really contain the rest of the Lions' attack. So, that means that we might see a lot of Calvin Johnson.
When Calvin Johnson has the ball thrown his way, good things happen for fantasy owners.
After seeing what Alex Smith did to the Buccaneers, this one has scary potential. The 49ers are far more reliant on the run than the Saints are, so Brees won't just be controlling the game like Smith did.
The 49ers also don't have the receiving threats that the Saints do. Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker combined for three touchdowns. Jimmy Graham is due for a huge day, so are the Saints' receivers.
That will all benefit Brees, who could well give Aaron Rodgers a run for his money for the day's best quarterback.
