WWE SmackDown Preview: The Second Longest Episodic TV Show in History
This past Monday on Raw one of the biggest storylines to hit professional wrestling came to an abrupt end. Many are seeing this sudden end to a history making storyline as a huge letdown.
Some are looking on the bright side of things and are seeing the quick end as the start of something bigger.
Now, the reason I mention Raw and its history making ways is because SmackDown is making its own history tomorrow night.

Tomorrow night on the blue brand we’ll see WWE’s second show became the second longest episodic show on television. What are they doing to celebrate this historic moment? They’re celebrating with a huge 41-man battle royal.
The battle royal has a purpose of course. The winner of the match gets a shot at any title he wants. With 41 superstars from both Raw and SmackDown, the possibilities are endless.
Who will win? Who will they challenge? When will they get their title shot? All those questions should be answered tomorrow night.
Also we must consider the ongoing storyline’s on SmackDown.
Last week, the Big Show made his return and not only wanted revenge against Mark Henry; he wanted Henry’s World Heavyweight Championship. What better way to get revenge on someone then to beat them down and take what’s most precious to them?
Big Show wanted an answer by the end of the show, and the World’s Strongest Man’s answer was no. That brought out the World’s Largest Athlete and he destroyed Mark Henry.
After a big chokeslam through the announce booth, SmackDown general manager Teddy Long granted Big Show his title match at Vengeance.
This past Monday on Raw, Henry appeared and talked of what happened. He mentioned his “Hall of Pain” and that was it. Big Show did not appear but will no doubt be on SmackDown.
Will Mark Henry be the one to strike next or can Big Show keep the momentum as Vengeance draws closer?
A couple of weeks ago on SmackDown, Randy Orton beat down Cody Rhodes. He destroyed Rhodes and just went back to his ongoing feud with Mark Henry.
The problem was, though, Orton’s feud with Henry was coming to an end.
During the beat down, Orton hit Rhodes with the ring bell and botched it to the point where blood was flowing everywhere. It sliced the Intercontinental Champion open bad. Because of that botch, Orton found his new feud.
Rhodes demanded that action be taken against him, but COO Triple H refused to do anything. Now that Triple H is out, and John Laurinaitis is in, Rhodes took the opportunity this past Monday on Raw to take matters into his own hands.
Orton was in a match with Mark Henry when Rhodes came down and cost him the matchup. Afterward, Orton got beat down by the World Champion.
Rhodes took advantage of that and hit Crossroads. One paper bag over the head later, and this feud is officially on.
Randy Orton has never been embarrassed like this before and will be looking for retribution. Will Orton once again beat the hell out of Cody Rhodes or can Rhodes get one up on the Viper again?
WWE tends to blow the chance of a five-star show when they have a “historic” episode. With everything that’s been going on in WWE lately, tomorrow night’s episode of SmackDown should be a good one.
Tune in to find out what happens!
