NFL Predictions Week 6: Baltimore Ravens and 3 Defenses Sure to Dominate
The cliche still exists, and it's going to be around for as long as football is relevant—defense wins championships.
You can score all the points you want and still lose if the defense can't stop anyone, but if the defense has the ability to blank the opposition as much as possible, the offense doesn't even need to score.
Defense is the most unbiased area in football, because plays aren't drawn up for a specific player, there are schemes and concepts implemented to shutting down specific players.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
And a defense working in unison is a beautiful thing.
Just like the following three who will dominate in Week 6.
Baltimore Ravens (vs. Houston Texans)
Had WR Andre Johnson been playing this game would be very close, but since he's out the Ravens gain an enormous advantage over Houston even with Derrick Mason being acquired by the Texans.
Safety Ed Reed is going to have a field day against Matt Schaub and his average receiving core while the front-seven shuts down the Texans ground game.
In addition, Baltimore gets a lot of pressure on Matt Schaub and forces three turnovers.
Andre Johnson is that important to Houston's offense, because when going against a defense like the Ravens, it's imperative that all your best players be healthy.
Baltimore scores on defense and holds Houston to just 10 points.
Cincinnati Bengals (vs. Indianapolis Colts)
Much like the Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals have a Top 10 defense and are only getting better with every passing week.
This week is a focus testing week, because although it's the 0-5 Colts, the Bengals need to focus, otherwise they will get burned as Indy has that capability.
However, Cincy first shuts down the Colts ground game thus forcing QB Curtis Painter to pass.
That only plays into the Bengals advantage, because for as good as they are at stopping the run, their pass defense is even better.
Cincinnati forces only two turnovers, but they blank the Colts who get shutout for the first time this season.
Washington Redskins (vs. Philadelphia Eagles)
The Week 6 NFC East matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles pits a Top 10 offense (Philly) against a Top 10 defense (Washington) in our nation's capital.
The only difference here is that critics are hopping off the Eagles bandwagon and onto the Redskins, as Washington is 3-1 to Philly's 1-4.
And until the Eagles actually do get back on track, no one is going to believe anymore in the hype.
The Redskins are playing like a complete team right now, are fully rested coming off a bye week and are eager to avenge the embarrassment the Eagles cost them in 2010.
Not to mention the Redskins have arguably the best LB core in pro football, as well as some sick pass rushers, which we all know, blocking is the Eagles biggest offensive weakness.
Washington doesn't score on defense, but Philly only manages 13 points in their fifth straight loss.
