College Football Recruiting 2012: 3 Recruiting Classes the Experts Love Too Much
Sometimes the experts fall in love with the star power and top portion of a class, and really base their rankings off of that. Yes, that does include me.
For this read, I'm just going to give you a couple classes that maybe are getting too much love by the experts based on their recruiting class rankings.
A little tough love never hurt nobody, did it?
3. Miami
1 of 3I really, really dig Miami's class. Seriously. It's just that this class may be a bit top heavy.
They have 24 commitments and I really like Duke Johnson, Angelo Louis-Jean, Jelani Hamilton, Keith Brown and Co., but this class gets a bit more love than it should after that.
The QB commits are not impressive and there's not any five-star recruits in this class.
Toss in the fact that there's some leakage occurring with many commitments and you see where Al Golden may not land in the Top 10 after all.
2. LSU
2 of 3I don't see this current Tiger recruiting class as a Top 10 class. I just don't. Do I like it? Yeah, but it's a notch below the LSU standard in my opinion.
I have LSU outside my Top 10, as this 20 commit class just has too many three-star recruits in it for my liking.
The top prospect is WR Avery Johnson, who has pretty much reaffirmed his pledge to LSU recently.
Many experts have this class mainly in the low teens, but that might be too much love for it.
1. Arizona State
3 of 3I've been saying this for some time now: I don't feel any pizazz from ASU's class. They have 24 pledges which is certainly good, but...
Most of the players are three-star rated commits and the top prospect is QB T.J. Millweard, who is a tall gun slinger with a solid skill set.
Yet, in my opinion, this class is not a Top 25 caliber class in most years.
