Cedric Benson: Bengals' Star RB Forces NFL to Drag out Appeals Process
Cedric Benson knows exactly how to delay his three-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the league during the NFL lockout.
Benson is scheduled to have a meeting today with the National Labor Relations Board, as he has filed an unfair labor dispute with the NFLPA, according to Pro Football Talk.
The move is a brilliant one by Benson, who is looking to get as many parties involved as possible in order to have his suspension overturned.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He is going to continue practicing with the Cincinnati Bengals, and will be on the field on Sundays.
The NFL is going to defer any ruling on this until the dispute is resolved with the NLRB. Benson and his agent know exactly what they are doing, and considering there is no precedent on this, Benson certainly has a case.
It remains to be seen whether or not he will get away with the suspension or not, but it is certainly a possibility.
The more hands there are in the cookie jar, the better chance Benson has of dragging this out and at least getting that suspension postponed until the start of next season, or having it reduced to simply one game.
The NFL is going to do the smart thing on this matter, and are not going to follow through on this suspension until they know for certain that it is a legal move.
This meeting with the NLRB is certainly a good thing for Benson's fantasy owners, who will be happy to have him on the field in the coming weeks.
