Comparing 7 Defensive Players to Horror Movie Characters
Halloween is just around the corner and it's time for us to have a little fun with some of our favorite NFL players.
Whether it can be attributed to their style of play, stature or something else; in the slideshow ahead a few of the NFL's top defensive players have been matched up with horror characters whom they reflect in some way.
Jared Allen as Hannibal Lecter
1 of 7Currently leading the league in sacks this season with 8.5, Minnesota Vikings' Jared Allen parallels with Hannibal Lecter in the way he eats up quarterbacks in the backfield.
Ray Lewis as Michael Myers
2 of 7Ray Lewis can be compared to Michael Myers in the way he delivers piercing blows to his opponents. One of the hardest hitters in the league, being hit by Lewis can compare to being stabbed with a knife.
Brandon Browner as Freddy Krueger
3 of 7Last week in the Seahwaks' win over the New York Giants, Brandon Browner resembled Freddy Krueger. Browner was the dream killer to the Giants when he intercepted a pass off Victor Cruz's hands and returned it for a 94-yard touchdown on New York's last opportunity to try and get the win.
Jimmy Leonhard as the Leprechaun
4 of 7Small in size at 5'8", dressed in green for the Jets, and going after the football like it's a pot of gold, Jimmy Leonhard most closely resembles horror movie character the Leprechaun.
Pat Angerer as the Blob
5 of 7Pat Angerer is a 235-pound middle linebacker for the Colts who is leading the NFL in tackles. As a rookie Angerer is the new guy in town, and on the field he just consumes his opponents and takes them over, much like the Blob.
Jason Pierre-Paul as King Kong
6 of 7At 6'5" and 278 pounds, Jason Pierre-Paul is a huge defensive end that looks like King Kong when he plows through offensive lines on his way to sacking the quarterback.
Ed Reed as Godzilla
7 of 7Ed Reed can be correlated to Godzilla because he plays so well its like he covers an entire field by himself, picking apart and destroying opposing teams' offenses.
