WWE News and Raw Preview: Despite the Walkout, the Show Must Go on
Last week on Monday Night Raw, history was made.
Throughout WWE’s existence there have been many authority figures. Vince McMahon is of course the most well known of them all. For as many people that hated McMahon the authority figure, he never went through what happened last week.
In fact, no authority figure in WWE history had gone through this.

New chief operating officer Triple H has been running things since July. In the eyes of the fans, he’s been doing a great job.
In the eyes of his employees, though, he has been running things into the ground.
Since July’s great Money in the Bank pay-per-view, a conspiracy has been brewing in the WWE, mainly on Raw. Kevin Nash indicated the start when he delivered a jackknife power-bomb to CM Punk.
Then everyone, from The Miz and R-Truth to the executive vice-president of talent relations John Laurinaitis, has gotten involved.
At first, Punk thought Triple H was behind it all as a way to screw with him. He now recognizes, though, that the Game isn’t behind the conspiracy, but that the conspiracy is against Triple H.
Last week there was a rare moment.
Triple H ordered a “vote of confidence.” He wanted to know what his employees thought of the job he was doing.
The whole thing was actually Laurinaitis’ idea, which adds fuel to the fire that he is behind the conspiracy.
We saw everyone at ringside—well, almost everyone. The Superstars, Divas and even the referees showed up for this vote.
The only people missing were the company’s top faces.
Wade Barrett spoke on behalf of the men, Beth Phoenix on behalf of the women and Mike Chioda on behalf of the referees.
All had the same thing to say: Raw was an unsafe working environment and they all feared for their safety. Triple H had witty responses, but none were too pleased with them.
Then Jerry Lawler spoke up. He also said the same thing, but added that while Triple H may not be behind the conspiracy, he was the cause of it all.
There’s someone that doesn’t want Triple H to be COO. While their abuse isn’t affecting the Game, it’s affecting everyone that works for the company.
Christian then voted “no confidence.” Everyone at ringside left.
There was a group of faces that thought about it, but they ultimately left as well. They were followed by Michael Cole, Justin Roberts, Booker T, the timekeeper and even “Good ‘Ol J.R.” Jim Ross.
Even the cameramen at ringside dropped their cameras and left the arena.
This past Friday on SmackDown, many of the stars stated that they wouldn’t appear on Raw until Triple H resigned from his position.
All of that insanity brings us to tonight.
Christian has stated that he will be holding a solidarity rally since Triple H won’t step down.
To be held in the parking lot, Captain Charisma has invited everyone to join him in protest of Raw. He said that they won’t step foot inside the arena or wrestle on Monday Night Raw until the Game steps down as COO.
So what does that mean for tonight’s show?
Well, Triple H has confirmed that John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Sheamus, and the Big Show will be headlining the event. So that’s five stars, Triple H and most likely footage of the protest featuring over 50 WWE employees.
Doesn’t sound very exciting to me.
Will there be any announcers? Any referees to officiate the matches? A five vs. 50-plus brawl? I hope we get some answers tonight.
This conspiracy storyline has just been adding questions upon questions for weeks. Will we finally have some answers? We’ll have to wait and see.
This will certainly be an interesting night.
