Fantasy Football Week 5: Tom Brady and 3 Stars Who Will Be Kept in Check
If you watched the Patriots vs. Raiders game last week, you probably noticed that New England ran the ball a lot.
Maybe they were trying to answer the critics who called their offense one dimensional, maybe they liked the matchup, or maybe Tom Brady just wanted to give other quarterbacks a fighting chance at the passing title.
Whatever the reason, Brady's fantasy numbers weren't quite what owners expected. I know this because I was watching that game with someone who has Brady on his fantasy football team. Fortunately, that person was playing against me, but I digress.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So, who can we look for to have a similar week this week? Mind you, I am not predicting that these guys won't have good games, but they won't quite live up to the standards that you are probably used to.
Tom Brady
Let's continue right where we started. The Jets are a tough defense. Even when they got blown out by Baltimore last week, their defense was stellar.
Now, I am expecting a good game from Brady, but it wouldn't at all surprise me if a few of those touchdowns that we're used to the Patriots making, turned into field goals.
Also, against the Jets, New England will have to establish a ground game. You simply can't be one dimensional against a team like that.
Matt Schaub
I still like the Texans in this game. The group of weapons that Schaub will be throwing to are more than competent.
But without Andre Johnson, the Texans are going to be hurt in the red zone.
Also, don't forget that Arian Foster is now healthy for the first time this season and had a solid game in Week 4 against the Steelers.
Given how well the Patriots ran against the Raiders, don't be surprised to see the Texans follow a similar blueprint.
If you feel anything like how I felt typing this, then please accept a sincere apology on my end.
But in all seriousness, the Cardinals defense is much more vulnerable against the pass than against the run.
If you look at their totals, the Cardinals have done comparatively well against the run this year. I expect the Vikings to incorporate the pass more than they usually do. Because of that, I like Donovan McNabb as a sleeper if your quarterback is hurt or on a bye.
Of course, I am not suggesting that you bench Peterson, but don't expect his totals to be what you've grown used to seeing.
