2011 Fantasy Football: NFL Week 5 Sleepers
Sometimes you need a fantasy gem to be successful. Here is a list of LestersLegends’ under-the-radar players who could possibly pull out a win for you in Week 5.
Kevin Kolb, QB, Arizona Cardinals: Kolb faces the Minnesota Vikings on the road, a team allowing 286.3 passing yards per game. That ranks 27th in the league. If you’re looking for a deeper sleeper (gulp), Tarvaris Jackson is coming off a 319-yard, three-touchdown game and Alex Smith is coming off a 291-yard, two-touchdown game.
Danny Woodhead, RB, New England Patriots: Woodhead has been used sparingly (12 carries, five catches) since the opener when he carried the rock 14 times for 69 yards with a six-yard catch. Stevan Ridley and BenJarvus Green-Ellis handled the load last week, but I could see Belichick turning to Woodhead in the passing game to give the Jets fits. Last year he caught four passes for 104 yards against them. For a less risky play consider Oakland’s Michael Bush as the Raiders look to bully the Texans.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Preston Parker, WR, Tampa Bay Bucanneers: My man Grant has been singing his praises all week, so he gets the credit here. In four games Parker has two solid efforts, one average performance and one stinker. He’s facing the Niners who rank 27th with 284 passing yards allowed. I also like Kevin Walter and Jacoby Jones filling in for Andre Johnson.
Todd Heap, TE, Arizona Cardinals: Heap has 10 catches over the past two weeks. The Vikings gave up eight catches for 74 yards to Antonio Gates, four catches for 44 yards to Kellen Winslow and 11 catches for 112 yards to Brandon Pettigrew. Randy McMichael has seven catches the past two weeks and is a decent deeper sleeper filling in for Gates.
Cincinnati Bengals Defense: It’s hard to go gaga over a 2-2 club that has just a +6 point differential, but they are facing Jacksonville who has averaged a league-worst 9.8 yards per game and has the 31st-ranked offense (264.3 yards per game). Both Indianapolis and Kansas City are options in what should be an ugly game.
