Turkey vs. Germany Euro: Germany Saying Right Things Ahead of Turkey Match
Germany is swearing to anyone that will listen that they are not about to pull punches ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifier on Friday. I don't believe them one bit.
Health is a premium not afforded to every side. Rest is just below that as a luxury you just can't count on. Friday will see a juggernaut of a German side going to Turk Telekom Arena and playing a fairly competent Turkish side.
Ahead of this match, Germany has cruised in group play. They are a perfect 8-for-8 in wins and have a ridiculous goal differential of 23.

The last thing the Germans need to do is play the game with 110 percent fervor. That is counter to the message they are sending, though.
General manager Oliver Bierhoff told reporters that letting up is the last thing the Germans will do on Friday.
"Of course we have already qualified, but we want to end qualifying well with an unbeaten record and 10 wins from 10, if possible. And above all, it is about sporting fairness. Both Turkey and Belgium still have the chance to finish second in the group. Therefore, we want to call on our very best performance and end what has been a very good year 2011 well. We are not under any obligation to win. But we are going to be tested.
"
It would be good for karma for the Germans to come out fighting. But trust me that Turkey will be the team with the most passion on the pitch.
Germany will be playing with a calm that only a qualified team can play with. They are certainly have the sentiment you want if you are Belgium.
They are only two points shy of Turkey, but Germany can only do so much. The good news for teams not named Turkey is that Germany may be even better with the comfort of knowing they have nothing to play for.
Sure, 10-for-10 is tremendous, but it pales in comparison to what a Euro 2012 title would mean.
