Fantasy Football Week 5 Rankings: Dallas Clark and 3 Worst TEs
Having a solid TE in your lineup each week can really give you an advantage in fantasy football.
However, unless it's Tony Gonzalez or Antonio Gates, the matchups are extremely crucial as is the QB who's under center.
So with that in mind, here are the three worst TE players for Week 5.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
3. Dallas Clark, Colts (vs. Chiefs)
For starters, it's clear that Dallas Clark is no longer the favorite receiving target in Indianapolis.
With Peyton Manning under center, sure, but with Curtis Painter at the helm, it's obvious that he's looking for Pierre Garcon or Reggie Wayne, as did Kerry Collins.
In addition to that, if there's any defensive success the Kansas City Chiefs have had in 2011, it's been with their pass defense (shocking with Eric Berry out).
Also, Indy has seen some halfway decent success on the ground these past few weeks from RBs Joseph Addai and Delone Carter.
Plus, with an inexperienced QB under center, his best friend is a good running game. Therefore leaving Clark into block, combined with not being targeted very much.
2. Owen Daniels, Texans (vs. Raiders)
Although, he is the Texans' second leading receiver this season, TE Owen Daniels needs to take a backseat in Week 5 of fantasy football.
With WR Andre Johnson out, and with a solid LB core in Oakland—despite their lack of overall pass defense—Houston is going to be pounding the rock with RB Arian Foster.
Thereafter, you'll see WR Kevin Walter earn more targets as Daniels is the stronger receiving threat at the moment.
At the same token, WR Jacoby Jones will be stealing some targets because Houston needs to establish their other targets as opposed to just having Johnson and Daniels.
In any event, Houston is going to be running the ball quite a bit these next few weeks, so defer elsewhere because Owen Daniels is going to be blocking a lot more.
1. Marcedes Lewis, Jaguars (vs. Bengals)
Much like the Indianapolis Colts, expect the Jacksonville Jaguars to spend even more time establishing a solid rushing attack while rookie QB Blaine Gabbert continues to develop.
TE Marcedes Lewis is a solid receiving target, but he's only caught seven passes for 81 yards this year.
Even team leading WR Mike Thomas, only has one TD, despite having 20 receptions.
As for Week 5, Lewis and the Jags host the 2-2 Bengals, who have a Top 10 defense (No. 3 pass, No. 7 rush). So it's safe to say Jacksonville is going to have trouble moving the ball.
Therefore, even if you're in the need of a flex player this week, look past Marcedes Lewis because he's going to be doing a lot of blocking for RB Maurice Jones-Drew.
