WWE No Confidence: Only Four Superstars Remain After Raw

Nathan GieseOct 3, 2011

Chaos ensued last night on Raw as Johnny Ace persuaded Triple H to take a vote from the superstars on whether they are confident in the COO's current ability to run the show on Raw.

At the end of the show, every superstar (well, almost everybody) from Raw and Smackdown including divas, referees and commentators took to the ring to voice their displeasure with the current working conditions in the WWE.

A resounding vote of no confidence left Triple H all alone in the center of the ring to end the show.  Confidence was not just lacking in the talent either, as even a few cameramen dropped their video recorders and joined the resistance.

Noticeably absent from the proceedings, however, were those of the company's four biggest faces, John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus and CM Punk. Those four alone did not step foot near the ring during the matter at hand and were nowhere to be seen after their matches earlier in the night were over.

Which begs to question: what kind of angle are they playing right now?

CM Punk and John Cena have more reason than anybody to be angry at what's going on in the WWE due to the attacks they each received at the end of their brutal cell match on Sunday.  That attack was by the two men, Miz and Truth, whom Triple H had fired only two weeks before.

Punk and Cena could easily stand together and state they were not happy about being attacked to spite the boss, but they didn't.  They took the high road and let everybody else do the complaining.

Curiously enough as Cena's, Sheamus' and Orton's absence were heavily visible, but none of them more so than Punk's.  The same guy that was fighting against the system, trying to bring about change and taking on the boss himself not two weeks ago is now on the side of "I feel he's doing a good job."

It seems to be a little suspicious that he wasn't voicing his opinion this time around, considering he's had the loudest voice of the WWE this entire summer.

Sure, people will be saying that they weren't involved because the company couldn't possibly risk having their top four money drawers walk out along with the rest of the roster.  I ask you: Why not?

As it currently stands based off of Monday's events, there are zero championships still with the company. Yes, even Air Boom, the tag team champions and fan favorites themselves, walked away from Triple H and all other titles are currently being held by heels.  By having just the four men staying with the show right now, what can they possibly accomplish alone.

Maybe they will pull another half-assed tournament to determine new WWE and World Heavyweight champions like they did when Punk walked away with the title, but I highly doubt that.

Obviously there will be more clarification coming up on Smackdown that's being taped Tuesday so we can expect to see a flurry of spoilers popping up everywhere as we are all curious to see how far they are willing to take this.  However interesting this appears right now, they may have dug themselves too big of a hole to climb out of this time.

Four superstars can make the company popular, but four superstars cannot make up the entire company. If fans were looking for some kind of excuse to bring in outside talent from sources such as Ring of Honor, which has been speculated about since July, now is as perfect of time as any.

Like Jerry Lawler stated before he walked away, somebody is pulling the strings to make all these frustrated superstars angry.  The only question left now is who?
