Will A Giant Shot in the Leg be a Redskins' Shot in the Arm?
Perplexing Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg. Inside a Manhattan night club. On a Friday. I'm no disciplinarian, and definitely not a doctor, but clubbing is rarely the best treatment for a strained hammy, and definitely not the way to win teammates' sympathies.
Plus we're going to have to listen to more of Drew Rosenhaus' absurd ramblings about how Plaxico is sorry that he let his teammates down. All too little, and definitely too late.
Burress was already out for Sunday's game before he decided to exercise his Second Amendment rights, but much like Iverson's skipping "practice?!" on Thursday, goin' clubbin' was hardly a wise move for the Giants' standout-wideout.
The shot in the leg could be indicative of a soft underbelly of the Giants that could be a distraction against the Redskins Sunday, making Plaxico a standout for all the wrong reasons. Moreover, this distraction and lack of discipline could undo the Giants' remarkable year, leaving them in a tight spot come the playoffs.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
When Tiki Barber retired in his prime and took to taking potshots at the Giants on his Sunday Night Football debut—specifically, Eli Manning's leadership skills, or lack thereof—the Giants seemed to be coming apart. Coughlin was on the hot seat, and was probably one game away from being fired.
They obviously regrouped, and played the best they possibly could against the insanely-good Patriots to pull off an improbable Super Bowl victory. They'd supposedly arrived, especially Eli.
Eli, apparently the strong and silent type, needs talented receivers to throw to, but also needs to be a vocal leader. Plaxico has been a problem all year, and Eli could have said something to him to get him to realize that 10 other people share the field with him when he's on it, and who count on him to be there.
That either didn't happen, or Plax didn't listen. Either way, the Giants are now in a tough spot with injuries at key positions, including the dominant Brandon Jacobs.
These distractions, including Plaxico's absurd self-inflicted gunshot wound, have opened the door for the Redskins tomorrow, as well as throughout the remainder of the season, and the Giants will have to answer questions of that caliber for the rest of the year.
