WWE Hell in a Cell 2011: 3 Reasons Christian vs. Sheamus Must End in No Contest
After being completely and utterly buried by Randy Orton during their series of matches for the World Heavyweight Championship, Christian's spot in the main event scene was in question.
A feud with "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus may keep him in the upper midcard for a while, but it will keep him relevant at the very least.
Both men are world champion material, so they figure to have a very entertaining rivalry. The two will face off at Hell in a Cell in a grudge match with no apparent incentives at the moment. I have to believe, though, that the winner will be in line to get a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Christian and Sheamus both have great fan support at the moment, so it makes little sense to put one over the other, right now. Here are three reasons why their match on Sunday should end in a no contest, either by double count out or double disqualification.
Both Wrestlers Would Look Strong
Christian and Sheamus have been moving in completely different directions as of late. Christian simply can't buy a win and was made to look incredibly weak during his program with Randy Orton. Sheamus, on the other hand, has been dominant since turning face and has destroyed everyone in his path.
With that in mind, there is really no reason to have one superstar go over the other in this instance. The winner would get a nice rub, but it would be very damaging to the loser. A loss for Christian would send him into a major tailspin, while a loss for Sheamus would diminish his status a bit as a no non-sense monster.
A double count out or double disqualification would be beneficial to both competitors, though. They would look like equals and be able to continue their feud without one particular person having the upper hand on the other.
The Loser Would Have Nothing to Do
While the winner of this match would likely receive a shot at Mark Henry's World Heavyweight Championship, the loser would only fall further down the card and have nobody to feud with. Both Christian and Sheamus are premier talents in the ring and on the mic, so a loss for either man would be a real shame.
If Christian lost, for instance, he would have very few options in terms of faces to feud with. Randy Orton would obviously be the top choice, but their feud is extremely played out by now. Outside of that there is Daniel Bryan or Sin Cara, but they're tied up with each other.
Sheamus would have a similar issue unless Henry were to lose the title to Orton at Hell in a Cell. Then he would be able to resume his feud with Henry, which was cut short due to Henry's run toward the title. Other than that, Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes are possibilities, but I can't see Sheamus in the Intercontinental Championship scene.
It Would Allow Both to Contend for the Title
At this point, the best-case scenario at the Hell in a Cell would be for Mark Henry to retain against Randy Orton and for Sheamus and Christian to battle to a no contest. This would leave Christian and Sheamus on equal footing in terms of who deserves a title shot more.
I imagine this would lead to a triple threat match for the title at Survivor Series between Christian, Sheamus and Henry. While Henry's character has been compelling since his heel turn, his in-ring work still leaves plenty to be desired. Because of that, it's difficult for him to have entertaining singles matches.
Putting him in the ring with two solid workers like Christian and Sheamus at the same time should increase the match quality significantly, though. Whether Henry retains in that match or not, Christian and Sheamus could do the heavy lifting. Both Christian and Sheamus should be in pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship, but since neither of them have the title, it makes the most sense to allow both of them to contend for it at once.
