Arsenal vs. Olympiacos: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Will Play Huge Role for Arsenal
Arsenal squeaked out yet another Champions League win against Olympiacos with the final score 2-1.
It was a match that they needed to win, and Arsene Wenger's side pulled it off, despite showing some weaknesses and giving up a goal.
Wenger opened himself up for questioning to start the game when he rested van Persie and Ramsey, but he made up for his gamble later when 18-year-old Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored in just his second start for the club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain looked great and may be the spark that this team has been looking for. He is incredibly fast and has a way of moving the ball around defenders that only the greats possess.
There is no doubt that Arsenal has shown some weaknesses and has struggled as of late, so bringing in a young player like Oxlade-Chamberlain into the fold may be just what the squad needs to get themselves over the hump.
Goal.com reports more information on the young midfielder and his potential new role on the team:
"Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Sky Sports: "It was a really good experience, it was a big step up from what I was used to last season, the football’s a lot quicker, but this is where I want to play, at the top level, but I’ve got a lot of work to do in order to get more appearances in the Champions League."
Arsenal assistant Pat Rice on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: "From Arsenal fans' point of view, they're going to see a lot of Alex. He has a big, big challenge to try and get in front of Theo Walcott."
"
There is no doubting that Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to struggle truly getting used to playing in the Champions League and he will have to fight for his time, but if there was anything he showed his squad today it's that he is capable of doing so at a young age.
Inexperience can be dangerous, but it can also be a blessing in disguise.
This is a team that has plenty of talent and experience on all parts of the pitch, but perhaps they could use a youngster like Oxlade-Chamberlain as an added boost of energy and enthusiasm.
Don't expect him to get many starts at first, but I would be very surprised if Wenger doesn't call his name more times than not when he needs a substitution.
When all is said and done though, I believe Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to be a big part of this Arsenal squad.
It may take him some time at first, but the younger is eventually going to play a huge role with Arsenal.
