WWE: Drew McIntyre and the Case of the Lost Career
This one came to me from a request by a member of the community, however I had also thought about doing this one before they brought it up. Like they say, cater to the audience and give the people what they want, so here it is.
Drew McIntyre has become a complete afterthought these days on Raw. The last time he was in a legitimate match was when he teamed with Dolph Ziggler (I should say partnered with because Dolph never entered the match) to be the punching bags for the very angry giant Big Show.
What did he get for his troubles? After his five minute beat down, he was subsequently thrown around the ramp up to the standing area of the stage. As if Big Show attempting to choke slam him off of the stage wasn't bad enough, Mark Henry shoved Show from behind mid-slam, which sent all three men flying off of the stage.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Since then, McIntyre is thanking his lucky stars if he is able to get a mini-segment backstage with his most lengthy ones involving a mass of other superstars backstage.
Quite a long fall from being one of the most hated heels on Smackdown while holding the Intercontinental Championship. Drew came into the company as Vince McMahon's newly found golden boy. He was able to get out of the stickiest of situations with the constant backing of the chairman of the board. He's been fired, re-hired and given the title back on a number of occasions while playing a pretty convincing heel over on the blue brand.
After his IC title reign, Drew went way down the ladder. Like, so far down the ladder you wonder how far into the ground he's been buried and how long he's been down there. McIntyre has the ability on the microphone to get a crowd to hate his guts and the viscous style of wrestling to back his words. The finisher he possesses is devastatingly painful. He has the confidence in his ability that can be resembled by those of The Miz and Ziggler, two guys who have made a career out of their confidence and attitude.
After the story of McMahon being behind Drew 100% fell apart, so did Drew's career. He's thrown into the occasional royal rumble match, sure, but other than that you'll be lucky to find his name in the program listed under active roster. That's how bad it's gotten for the Scot.
One has to wonder why exactly that was. I mean, it's not like he lost touch with reality or had a girlfriend backstage to cause trouble for him like some mid-carders today. He has the pedigree to once again play the role of a convincing, angry heel, willing to take out the competition at every turn. What's the guy have to do?
What he should do is try to join up in Vickie Guerrero's stable she has started to assemble. It's a proven fact that anyone who has ever operated under the guidance of Vickie has gone on to success in their careers. Edge, Big Show and Ziggler have all gone on to bigger things. Once McIntyre joins the stable, Ziggler will then drop his US title to Zack Ryder like he should have done on Monday. Instead, let Ziggler drop it to him at Venegance. By then, Drew will have joined the stable along with Jack Swagger.
Ziggler will go on to fight for the WWE Championship soon after that, leaving Drew and Jack to fend for themselves, meaning they form the giant heel tag team we've all been waiting for, named Sinister Swagger.
McIntyre may be in a huge rut right now in his career, but that doesn't mean it has to stay that way.
