WWE: Triple H, Other Vets, Are Apple of Vince McMahon's Eye
While searching for some more news about the WWE and its current status, I came across this article on wrestlenewz.com, about how Vince McMahon feels about the current state of the WWE.
Essentially, this feed states that Vince has become upset at the lack of success that came along with "Tough Enough" and also the unexpected "failure" of the youth movement he worked so hard to try to implement.
It goes on to say, however, that guys like Triple H make him excited; there is talk about bringing in even more proven veterans to tangle with the young talent, in order to make them credible.

Really? Really? Really?
There certainly is a conspiracy around the WWE, nowadays and it does start at the top; just not at the top of the guys that appear on TV. Vince McMahon is the man to blame for all of the crazy, bizarre goings ons, on Raw and Smackdown the past couple of months.
I'm as big of a fan as the next guy of greats like Triple H and The Rock. They will always have a place in my heart and I will always respect them for what they have done for the company during their prime. As big of a fan as I am of the stars from the Attitude Era, I'm an even bigger fan of not having old, aging vets taking up TV airtime from those who are still with the company.
Too often as of late, we have seen old vets such as Roddy Piper and Brett Hart get in the ring to fight the superstars of today. I'm sorry but Brett can't even walk anymore, let alone put on a good match and Piper should not have even wrestled Miz a few months ago on Raw, considering he had a broken neck.
If I remember correctly, that spot with Piper and Miz took up a solid 20 minutes of airtime.
20 MINUTES!!? For a guy who looks as fragile as a new born baby with brittle bones and very little meat on his bones.
Of course, we have Rocky who will be returning to the ring at WrestleMania in April. While Triple H has made another in ring appearance and will certainly make a few more before it's all said and done.
For McMahon to say that he's disappointed with the youth movement not being a success is like you being upset that you failed a test. Sure, you said you wanted to do well but when it came down to it you never put in the proper time or focus to get the job done. Same goes for the failed youth movement.
It's now, no wonder why guys like Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett have never accomplished anything in the main event scene that is of any importance. Vince doesn't want to change anything so he gives these guys a push every once in a while, only for them to fall back into obscurity.
If it were up to Vince McMahon, he would have Undertaker, Triple H, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena and Randy Orton be the only ones in the main event scene throughout their entire careers and have them doing so well into old age; almost to the point of them needing to be in nursing homes recovering from all the aches, pains and injuries they suffer.
Then after doctors tell them they no longer have the ability to do physical activity anymore, Vince would set up some kind of rope and pully system so they could come back at age 85 and get a clean win to make himself happy.
Tough Enough was not a failure either. It was actually pretty good, but once the overall best guy Martin and overall best girl Christiana, both went down with injuries that possibly cost them the contest, it was hard to get behind anybody. Except for Andy. And the only reason people got behind him was because he fired up the water works anytime Steve Austin thought about sending him home.
It also didn't help Andy's case after he won that people started to find out that he was previously part of the WWE fundamental training organization FCW, making it seem pretty obvious Vince had his man the entire time.
The only reason why the youth movement never got off of the ground was because Vince never allowed it to. The talent is there, it's just that Vince never opened his eyes enough to realize "Hey, there actually is some really good talent here." He's too blinded at the notion that this is still the 1990s and old wrestlers are what sells a company.
Vince, heed my warning: If you continue on this path you have started to go onto, you will make yourself no better than Dixie Carter; the WWE will be no better than TNA and your ratings will drop even further. Tread wisely.
