Michael Vick Concussion: Why Fans Need to Accept Eagles QB's Reckless Nature
Michael Vick may be out for an extended period of time with a concussion, but should we really expect a change in his style of play when he returns?
Sorry, Philadelphia fans, I don't think so.
Vick has matured as a pocket passer during his time as the Eagles quarterback, and the coaching staff will do whatever they can to limit the hits he endures when their $100 million man returns.

However, Vick is so special because of his ability to scramble and elude attacking pass rushers.
That facet of his game won't change.
The Eagles' offensive line will face a variety of blitz packages this year and as we've seen thus far, they'll occasionally have their issues.
So Vick will be forced to dance in the pocket, make defenders look silly, then heave the ball downfield or scramble to pick up valuable yardage.
He has come a long way as a pure passer, but his athleticism is the X-factor that makes the Eagles' offense so hard to stop.
Vick was careless with the ball on Sunday night, but making him stay in the pocket and never get on the edge of the defense would be taking away a huge advantage Philadelphia has over every team.
They signed the video game-like Vick, the most threatening running quarterback in history with a rocket arm, if they are worried about him getting hurt and want to limit his runs, they shouldn't have extended him.
If you're paying a guy $100 million, don't you want him to use his full skill set?
Without a doubt, the Eagles want Vick on the field at all times, but would he be that effective if he simply throws the ball away every time pass protection breaks down?
No.
By changing his style, opposing defenses won't have to waste a "spy" on him, and the Eagles' offense simply wouldn't be as dangerous.
Yes, it would give Vick a much better chance to stay healthy, but it would come at a cost for Philly.
In the end, don't be surprised to see more of the same from No. 7 when he's back on the field, whenever that may be.
