How Jahvid Best Will Have His 1st Career 100-Yard Game Week 1
Jahvid Best did not rush for 100 yards in any game his rookie season. In fact, all of last year he ran for a mere 555 yards on 171 attempts.
His relative lack of production was largely attributed to a turf toe injury that nagged him throughout the 15 games he played in.
That injury is fully healed, and with rookie Mikel LeShoure placed on injured reserve during training camp, the workload will fall squarely on the shoulders of No. 44.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jerome Harrison was brought in to provide some support, but Best will surely get the majority of the carries. He has been in the system for a full season and has showed flashes of brilliance when healthy.
In Week 2 last season against Philadelphia, Best had 232 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns. In Week 3, he suffered the unfortunate turf toe injury and at no other point was he able to display that kind of production.
Against Tampa Bay he will have a great chance to prove he is capable of being a productive starting running back.
The Buccaneers' defensive line is young and inexperienced. Adrian Clayborn and Da'Quan Bowers are both rookies, and Gerald McCoy is only in his second season.
These players are bound to make mistakes and blow assignments at some point over the course of four quarters.
It will be up to Best to exploit these openings when they present themselves.
Holes in the defense should become more plentiful if the Lions' passing attack proves to be as prolific as their preseason numbers would indicate.
Matthew Stafford and his receivers had a great preseason, showcasing consistency and an ability to score at will.
If this continues, and the Buccaneers' defense showcases its vulnerability, then Jahvid Best should finish the game with over 100 yards rushing.
