A Completely Wacky Four-Team Trade Proposal (Revised)
All sorts of Al Harrington rumors are flying around, some believable, some ridiculous.
While this trade falls into the latter category, it would actually help all four of the teams involved.
The initial trade, which involved Boston as well as Golden State, New York, and Charlotte, was pretty much a miserable failure. In order to expose myself to the ridicule of another fan-base, err - adjust for the opinions of the Bleacher Report denizens who were kind enough to read and comment on the article, the trade has been revised.
The revised trade is still a ridiculous 4-team, 18-player mess (this is an imaginary trade, after all), but is a slight improvement over the other version.
The Celtics showed that they don't need offense at the expense of defense to beat the new-look, Iverson-led Pistons, so they have been removed from the trade.
Miami, with its blue-chip expiring-contract star, has been added.
Draft picks have also been removed.

This trade would set up a huge battle for LeBron. Would he want to play with:
- The Matrix and Captain Jack in NYC?
- Or J-Rich, D-Wade, and Beasley in Miami?
Miami would have accept a down-grade at center to get an all-star to compliment Wade (who would move to point guard).
The Warriors, meanwhile, get Nate Robinson to go with Monta Ellis. This would form the fastest back-court in the league. Trading both Harrington and Captain Jack seems insane, but a line-up of Robinson, Ellis, Wallace, Brandon Wright/Anthony Randolph, Biedrins would be a younger, arguably better lineup, since everyone would be at their natural positions.
The Bobcats, meanwhile, trade two of their best players. However, they get a forward that's almost as good as Wallace (with a shorter contract), as well as a box office draw if Marbury plays. Haslem is an upgrade over Mohammed at center, and Richardson is better than Morrison. David Lee is a good sub. D.J. Augustin can move into the starting PG spot.
New York eats the bad contract of Carroll to get two versatile big scorers.
This trade is obviously too complicated to actually happen. What real trade possibilities are out there for Harrington?
Interestingly, the Charlotte Observer has a simpler, yet similar scenario: Wallace to Golden State, Curry to Charlotte, Harrington to NYC. This is a terrible trade for Charlotte, though.
Please post any comments or alternate trade proposals (real or imaginary).
