UFC 133 Preview: Tito Ortiz Says 'Cinderella Story's Not over Yet' at UFC 133
Tito Ortiz appears to have some more fight in him than previously thought.
After failing to meet demands with Lyoto Machida, UFC president Dana White turned his attention to "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" and slotted him into the main event at UFC 133 against Rashad Evans.
Following his decision, Ortiz told MMAWeekly.com he had to do what was best for the company:

""After the fight (against Ryan Bader), I took a little time off, and to correct you, it’s actually two weeks of training and a week of doing the PR stuff for the fight, so it’s putting in two weeks of hard work and could I pull it off?"
"
Ortiz turned down the bout earlier on due to prior commitments in his personal life and to his business, Punishment Athletics. However, he said he was aware of the reaction and interest he generated from fans after declining the bout the first time.
Now, Ortiz will headline UFC 133 in a rematch against Evans after the two competitors fought to a draw at UFC 73 in 2007.
It's a bout that Ortiz has wanted ever since their first encounter.
"I’ve always wanted that fight against Rashad,” he said.
"He’s had a great camp, I’ve heard, over the last eight weeks or nine weeks. I know he hasn’t fought in over a year, and I really hope I make the right decision.”
And after carrying momentum into his rematch with Evans from his win over Ryan Bader at UFC 132, Ortiz has assured his career is far from being over.
“Hopefully everybody will be happy," he said. "I’m happy, my camp’s happy. The future will hold great things for me, and this Cinderella story is not over yet.”
