New York Yankees: The Evil Empire's Bank Account Strikes Again
Well, the New York Yankees have done it again.
They have gone out and bought themselves another player.
In a move that could have been as simple as Brian Cashman walking into the visitor's clubhouse at Yankee Stadium and handing Brewers GM Doug Melvin a check, 30-year-old right-hander Sergio Mitre returns to the Yankees in exchange for 'cash considerations', according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch via Twitter.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
According to MLBTR's Tim Dierkes, the Yankees were not the only team interested in him.
Mitre, who was designated for assignment by the Brewers on Monday, was traded by the Yankees to the Brewers on March 25 in exchange for OF Chris Dickerson.
Mitre was effective out of the bullpen for the Brewers: In 22 games he was 0-1 with a 3.22 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 10 W and 14 SO over 33.1 innings.
After a disastrous 12-game stint with the Yankees in 2009, Mitre proved to be a valuable member of the bullpen last year, putting up similar numbers as what he had with the Brewers this season: 27 G, 0-3, 3.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 10 BB, 14 SO over 54 innings.
A familiar face to Joe Girardi and most of the Yankee clubhouse, Mitre should be able to slide back into his former role as long reliever/spot starter out of the Yankee bullpen.
To make room for Mitre on the 40-man roster, the Yankees designated 33-year-old Buddy Carlyle for assignment.
A shrewd move to pick up a reliable reliever.
