1: Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-0 ATS, 7-1 SU) (LW: 2) The Okies almost pulled off the massive upset in Austin over the weekend, but came up on the short end of the 28-24 final. They may be the only undefeated ATS team in the nation but they’re just 2-5 ATS in their L/7 with next week’s opponent, Iowa State.
Next Up: Home vs. Iowa State (-31)
2: Texas Longhorns (7-1 ATS, 8-0 SU) (LW: 1) The Longhorns might’ve been knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten football betting teams against the Cowboys, but that shouldn’t bother Texas fans, who are still the #1 team in the country. Expect to see a ton of points flying on the scoreboard when they travel to Texas Tech next weekend.
Next Up: Away @ Texas Tech (-6)
3: Penn State Nittany Lions (6-1-1 ATS, 9-0 SU) (LW: 7) Before heading into the Horseshoe last weekend, Penn State had two streaks going against them. They hadn’t scored more than 10 points or won in Ohio State since joining the Big 10. They still haven’t cracked two touchdowns in the ‘Shoe since then, but they won 13-6, narrowly improving to 6-1-1 ATS. Without a doubt, the Nittany Lions will be sizeable favorites in their final three regular season games, and could be headed to the National Championship.
Next Up: Bye
4: Minnesota Golden Gophers (6-1 ATS, 7-1 SU) (LW: 6) Oklahoma State might have the only undefeated ATS season left in the country, but the second longest cover streak belongs to the Golden Gophers. They’ve now covered their L/6 betting affairs by an average of 16 ppg.
Next Up: Home vs. Northwestern (-6)
5: Ball State Cardinals (6-1 ATS, 8-0 SU) (LW: 3) The spread was just a bit too much for Ball State to stay amongst the ranks of the unbeatens this year, but there’s not too much to be disappointed about in Muncie. They’re still a perfect 8-0 and tied for first in the MAC West, and will continue the charge towards the conference title game when Northern Illinois comes to town in a week and a half.
Next Up: Bye
6: Tulsa Golden Hurricane (6-1 ATS, 8-0 SU) (LW: 8 ) It wasn’t quite the same offensive effort that Tulsa has become accustomed to, but a dominant 2nd half propelled the Golden Hurricane to a 49-19 victory. Tulsa is the only team in the country to have scored in each and every quarter this season.
Next Up: Away @ Arkansas (-6.5)
7: Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (6-1 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 10) Louisiana-Lafayette has a great chance to pull one win closer towards bowl eligibility next week against the Golden Panthers, a team they are 5-0 SU and ATS against since 2003.
Next Up: Home vs. Florida International (-6)
8: Florida International Golden Panthers (6-1 ATS, 3-4 SU) (LW: 11) The Golden Panthers have already broken a team-record for most covers in a season. Though they don’t have any success against ULL, they can rest easily that they have covered four straight in Sun Belt play.
Next Up: Away @ Louisiana-Lafayette (+6)
9: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (5-1 ATS, 6-2 SU) (LW: 4) Apparently no one wants to win the ACC. After the Jackets cracked the AP’s Top-25, they promptly lost to Virginia 24-17 as two touchdown favorites. Even though they’ve lost eight straight against the Seminoles, G-Tech bettors should rest assured that they are 4-1 ATS in their L/5 when playing FSU.
Next Up: Home vs. Florida State (+1.5)
10: Oklahoma Sooners (5-2 ATS, 7-1 SU) (LW: 12) After Kansas State pulled even with the mighty Sooners at 28-28 with 8:00 to go in the 2nd quarter, OU turned on the juice, outscoring the Wildcats 27-0 to end the first half. The 58-35 final score easily covered the 18-point spread. Next up is a date with Nebraska, a team they have outscored 82-24 in their L/3 meetings is Norman.
Next Up: Home vs. Nebraska (-21)
11: Vanderbilt Commodores (6-2 ATS, 5-3 SU) (LW: 5) Vanderbilt is falling fast after opening up the season 5-0 ATS. They’ve now lost three straight games SU and two out of three ATS after losing to Duke 10-7 as nine-point favorites. All of a sudden, bowl eligibility isn’t for certain, especially with the Gators visiting Nashville in two weeks.
Next Up: Bye
12: Texas Christian Horned Frogs (6-2 ATS, 8-1 SU) (LW: 15) The Horned Frogs continued their dominance at home, moving to 18-4 ATS in their L/22 home games with their 54-7 ‘W’ over Wyoming. They gave up almost as many rushing yards to Wyoming’s Devin Moore (114) than all of the previous opponents combined this season (157).
Next Up: Away @ UNLV (-13)
13: Northern Illinois Huskies (5-2 ATS, 5-3 SU) (LW: 9) Northern Illinois might’ve held Bowling Green to just 168 total yards of offense, but they couldn’t get enough offensive production themselves to beat the spread last weekend. They’ve got a long week and a half of preparation for their mid-week visit to Ball State.
Next Up: Bye
14: Florida Gators (5-2 ATS, 7-1 SU) (LW: 19) There was never a doubt for Gators bettors this weekend, as they easily disposed of the Wildcats 63-5 with a dominant performance in all facets of the game. They’ll be looking to avenge last season’s 42-30 loss to Georgia in next week’s Cocktail Party in Jacksonville.
Next Up: Neutral Site vs. Georgia (-5.5)
15: Air Force Falcons (5-2 ATS, 6-2 SU) (LW: 18) Air Force got back into the win column for their college football bettors with their 23-10 victory over New Mexico. They only threw three passes the entire game, but everything happened in those three passes. Falcons’ QBs went 1/3 for 1 yard, a touchdown, and an interception.
Next Up: Away @ Army (-9)
16: Iowa Hawkeyes (5-2 ATS, 5-3 SU) (LW: 17) Iowa was off from football betting action this weekend. They’ll put their three-game ATS winning streak on the line against the Illini in Champaign, a place where they have failed to cover in three straight.
Next Up: Away @ Illinois (+2)
17: Duke Blue Devils (4-2 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 20) Though it wasn’t overly shocking to the Blue Devils cover in Nashville, the fact that they beat the Commodores 10-7 as 9-point underdogs was. HC David Cutcliffe should be enshrined into the Hall of Fame right now, as Duke has the same number of wins this year as they did in the last three.
Next Up: Away @ Wake Forest (+7.5)
18: Army Black Knights (5-2 ATS, 3-5 SU) (LW: 23) The Black Knights ran their cover streak to five straight when they knocked off Louisiana Tech 14-7 as short favorites. They take on their rivals from Air Force next, a team they are just 3-8 ATS against in their L/11.
Next Up: Home vs. Air Force (+9)
19: San Jose State Spartans (5-2 ATS, 5-3 SU) (LW: 14) Disappointment was the theme in San Jose on Friday night, as they lost a golden opportunity to take control of the WAC, losing to Boise State 33-16. They travel to Moscow next weekend, a place they are 1-2 ATS since ’98.
Next Up: Away @ Idaho (+16.5)
20: Temple Owls (5-2-1 ATS, 3-5 SU) (LW: 21) Even after falling behind the Bobcats 10-0, Temple had enough to score the game’s final two touchdowns and salvage a push for Owls bettors. They still rank 119th in the nation, averaging 251 yards of offense per game, and that won’t get it done next week against a Navy team that averages more rushing yards per game (310) than they do total yards.
Next Up: Away @ Navy (+7.5)
21: Troy Trojans (4-2 ATS, 5-2 SU) (LW: 25) Troy took advantage of the fact that they were playing one of the worst teams in college football last weekend, knocking off North Texas 45-17. At 4-2, the Trojans are just two steps away from gaining bowl eligibility, but will likely need to win the Sun Belt to assure themselves a game in December.
Next Up: Away @ Louisiana-Monroe (-10)
22: Arizona Wildcats (6-2 ATS, 5-3 SU) (LW: NR) Arizona played a tremendous defensive game against the Trojans, but couldn’t get enough offense to fend off a 17-10 defeat. They did move to 4-1 ATS against the Pac-10 this year, and have a week off before taking on lowly Washington State.
Next Up: Bye
23: Oregon State Beavers (5-2 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: NR) The Beavers crack the poll this week even though they were off from football betting. They’ve covered seven straight games in Corvallis by an average of 14.5 points per game.
Next Up: Home vs. Arizona State (-11.5)
24: North Carolina State Wolfpack (5-2 ATS, 2-6 SU) (LW: NR) NCSU hasn’t had a fantastic season in terms of wins and losses, but they’ve been an improving team all year. Last week marked their fourth straight loss in ACC play, but they are a perfect 4-0 ATS in that stretch.
Next Up: Bye
25: Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-2 ATS, 5-2 SU) (LW: NR) The eyes of Touchdown Jesus have been smiling on Irish bettors so far this season, covering for the fourth straight game in Washington last weekend. They’re 6-2 SU and ATS in their L/8 against next week’s opponent, Pittsburgh.
Next Up: Home vs. Pittsburgh (-5)
Dropped Out: Southern California (13), UCLA (16), Mississippi (22), Maryland (24)
