Fantasy Football Week Eight Recap & Notes
With Week Eight coming and going, we now are left with just nine weeks of regular-season football. That's right, we've hit single digits. While the prospect of football season coming to an end is a scary thought, it also brings with it excitement as we get ready for the stretch run in our fantasy football leagues.
Hopefully, you're gearing up for the playoffs and not just battling to stay out of last place, but whatever your goal, remember the Bruno Boys are here to help each and every week.

Big Win for the ‘Boys, Bad News for Fantasy Owners
With Tony Romo out and reeling from two straight losses, the Dallas Cowboys badly needed a win, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came to town in Week Eight. It might not have been in traditional Cowboys fashion, but the 'Boys got the job done, winning a defensive affair 13-9. While Cowboy fans can breathe easy, as Dallas kept pace with the Giants, Eagles, and Redskins, fantasy football owners have to be a bit concerned.
Not one Cowboy was able to reach the double-digit plateau on Sunday, with running back Marion Barber serving as the team’s top scorer with nine fantasy points. In fact, in the two games the Cowboys have played with Brad Johnson under center, only Barber and tight end Martellus Bennett have topped the 10-point mark.
Look for the Cowboys’ position players to continue to struggle fantasy wise with Johnson under center, as the team will more-than-likely look for the veteran QB to simply manage games. That style of play from a quarterback does not lend itself to big fantasy days for an offense, especially when your next game is against the New York Giants.
