Terrelle Pryor: The Ex-Ohio State Buckeye Quarterback Will Succeed in the NFL
Terrelle Pryor has become one of the most talked about names in all of sports—and 99.9 percent of the chatter has been negative to say the least.
With Terrelle Pryor's Buckeye days behind him, it's now time for him to prove the "experts" wrong and show the Nation that he can—and will—be a successful NFL quarterback.
Many people seem to forget that Pryor is one of the most talented and athletically gifted athletes in the country, and he was beginning to prove that week in and week out during his junior year.
Terrelle Pryor has his inconsistent moments, but anyone who thinks he is a terrible quarterback needs to go back and watch last years Sugar Bowl where Pryor put on a clinic against the heavy-favorite Arkansas Razorbacks with 225 yards passing, two touchdowns and 115 yards rushing.
If that game failed to impress the doubters, jump back to Pryor's sophomore year where he led the Buckeyes to an upset Rose Bowl win against the Oregon Ducks passing for 260 yards and rushing for another 70.
Regardless of where Terrelle Pryor is taken in the supplemental draft come July, he will have a shot to prove he belongs in the NFL—and one shot is all he will need.
Pryor stands 6'6", 230 and runs a sub-4.4 forty and possesses a cannon for an arm. His main struggles are with throws 10 yards and shorter, where he lacks great throwing mechanics.
If my memory serves me correctly their was another big time college quarterback who was taken in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft who also had some bad habits with his throwing motion, but he is now set to most likely start for the Denver Bronco's in 2011.
Say what you want about Terrelle Pryor, but know that once he steps on the field in the NFL he's going to succeed. He's too motivated to fail, and too skilled not to succeed.
