Oakland Raiders Vs Baltimore Ravens: Who Wants It More?

Raider Card AddictOct 24, 2008

You have to admit...it makes for an interesting storyline.

Last week, Oakland was picked to be a lock to lose. 91 percent of the people polled, came away saying the Jets were going to romp.

Only problem is, the Jets encountered some turbulence, and never got it going...or at least, when they did, they went back to their air game.

Baltimore, meanwhile was picked to lose to Miami, by about 64 percent of the people. After all, Miami and their Wildcat, had steamrolled other clubs.

But then they hit a roadblock called Baltimore.

Now, Baltimore isn't known for a high calibre Offense. But if your defense forces a team to turn the ball over, with good field position, anything can happen.

It's also surprising that Baltimore has more wins than their QB, Joe Flacco, has touchdowns.

At 3-3, they've had ups and downs.

So, which team wants it more?

Oakland, would love to start a two game winning streak. Last year, they had two, to mention of, early in the year, evening their record at 2-2, then later in the year, they broke a slide against the AFC West, and on the road, beating Kansas City. The following week, they also overran the Denver Broncos, in front of a vocal home crowd, getting to 4-8.

Oakland right now, is at 2-4, halfway to that point....a few of the players have said, last week's win in overtime, was key, because that late in the game, usually the players start bickering.

Last week, the defense turned into a wall, stopping Brett Favre cold.

This week, I think Oakland can make a game of it.....and beat the Ravens at their own style....stopping a team deep, forcing them to make mistakes, and then getting the points, either with a field goal, or, a quick pass from Russell.

I'll take Oakland on this, call it, 12-10.
