Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat: Summer Blockbuster Edition
We all know that summer is time for sequels, blockbusters, and NBA championship basketball. This summer looks to be epic on both the court and in the theater.
The finals are packed Hollywood-esque story lines and the summer movie season promises to be chock full of action and excitement as well.
LeBron James: The Hangover 2
1 of 9
The 2008 versions of LeBron and The Hangover were wildly popular. Their 2011 versions are a different story.
Critics panned LeBron's "Decision" and "The Hangover 2" has been released with mixed reviews.
Regardless, people are going to pay good money to see both of them. And you know that they are going to be the talk around the water cooler the next day.
Jason Kidd: X-Men First Class
2 of 9
Haven't we seen this one before?
Jason Kidd is one of the longest tenured players in the league and the X-Men franchise is on it's fifth incarnation.
However, both of them are going back in time this summer. Much like this years version of the mutants, Kidd is currently showing a much younger version of himself.
Dirk Nowitzki: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II
3 of 9
Harry Potter and Dirk Nowitzki have a lot in common.
Both are from Europe, they have been put under enormous pressure (Dirk as the face of European basketball and Harry as "The Boy Who Lived"), and while both are decorated stars, they will not rest until they have their trophy (or horcrux).
Critics have been saying this is the best Harry Potter yet, and with the way Dirk has been playing, it might be his best as well.
Dwyane Wade: Green Lantern
4 of 9
Like Ryan Reynolds, Dwyane Wade already has Superhero credentials.
Wade owns one NBA championship ring and is among of the most exciting players in the league, but he has been criticized for his role in putting together The Big Three.
Reynolds played the Mutant Deadpool in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and is suiting up for his first leading superhero roll. The Green Lantern and The Flash will have mixed reviews from fans, but there will be no shortage of action.
Shawn Marion: Super 8
5 of 9
Like the initial trailer for Super 8, Shawn Marion is a bit of a mystery.
Is he going to step up to the occasion or sit back and let Dirk handle the game? We've seen big things from Marion before, just like we've seen big things from Spielberg.
Which one will this summer bring?
Chris Bosh: Transformers 3- Dark of the Moon
6 of 9
Pardon the pun, but Bosh really is the key to transforming the Heat's game.
While the Bulls were able to quiet Wade and Lebron somewhat, they had no answer for Bosh.
His 34 points in game three of the Heat-Bulls series was the beginning of the end for Chicago.
Tyson Chandler: Captain America
7 of 9
Chandler was widely praised for his role in helping Team USA win the gold at the FIBA world championships last year.
He emerged for Dallas with big expectations to play in place of Caron Butler. The newest Hollywood-ized superhero also has been met with anticipation.
Expect big things from both of them.
Mark Cuban: The Beaver
8 of 9
Mel Gibson has been known to say stupid things. So has Mark Cuban.
Gibson's latest movie is about a man trying to regain his life through talking to a Beaver puppet on his hand.
Just like with Cuban, we really do not know what to expect.
Pat Riley: Midnight in Paris
9 of 9
Like the delicate black and white backdrop in Allen's movie Manhattan,
Riley has always shown style and poise.
Even though both are unconventional at times, they ultimately know what they are doing.
