New England Patriots: Rookie Nate Solder Has Been in Contact with Pats' O-Line
New England's newly-drafted offensive tackle, Nate Solder, has definitely felt the effects of the NFL lockout, but has been seeking assistance from future offensive line teammates according to the Boston Herald.
Solder has only made one visit to Gillette Stadium when he was introduced as New England's first-round selection—one of the few days the lockout was lifted. During that visit, Solder was bombarded with information such as a playbook, phone numbers and workout plans handed out by New England's coaching staff.
As we're stuck in the midst of the lockout, Solder sure isn't having any fun as he's in the process of learning New England's offense.

One of the players that Solder has been in contact with is Logan Mankins—as Mankins told the media at the Joe Andruzzi Golf Tournament this past week.
“I have spoken to Nate,” Mankins said at the golf tournament. “He seems like a great guy. I gave him a little advice, and tried to help him out the best I can in the situation we’re in.”
As for Solder, he went into further detail regarding the advice he's been receiving when he spoke with the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian this past Tuesday.
""“I’m still in the dark. But they’re going to put some stuff together for me...I don’t know what it’s going to be. But I hope it’s some vocabulary stuff, some general play kind of stuff so I can get familiar with it...Sebastian (Vollmer) mentioned to me today that he had some DVDs."
"
The lockout has undoubtedly affected the rookies entering the NFL, but it's certainly good to see that Solder's teammates are doing whatever it takes to help out in his transition to the NFL.
