Minnesota Vikings Franchise Could Be Headed to Los Angeles
Owner Zygi Wolf and Minnesota Vikings officials met with representatives from AEG Thursday at a downtown Minneapolis Hotel, according Minnesota Public Radio.
However, according to the report, Vikings vice president Lester Bagely denied the rumors of a possible relocation of the franchise to Los Angeles.
AEG, a sports and entertainment company, has recently proposed the idea of Farmers Field in L.A. but are currently waiting for a possible suitor before they can start building—could the Vikings be the potential suitor?

Following the meeting, Bagely spoke with the media and had this to say regarding the meeting with the proposers of Farmers Field:
""The discussion about Los Angeles was about LA Live, that sports entertainment model that they created there...We're trying to re-create that type of energy at the Arden Hills development if we can."

However, the meeting with AEG came the day following the legislature for a new stadium in Minnesota was adjourned and is currently unfinished. So, it's only fair to speculate the possibility of the franchise leaving Minnesota and relocating to the appealing city of Los Angeles.
As we sit in the midst of the the NFL lockout and with the Vikings' future home still up in the air, it's a definite possibility that Wolf may decide to pack up the bags and simply leave Minnesota for the much desired destination in Los Angeles. ![]()
The Vikings have been located in Minnesota ever since 1961, and 2010 may have been their last season in the Land of 10,000 lakes.
L.A. has been in the news for quite sometime now as they've been waiting a NFL franchise ever since the Raiders departed back in 1994. AEG has been the lead stadium developing group to land an NFL team in Los Angeles, as they've been pursuing early rights to the possible L.A. deal, according to Yahoo Sports.
One of the more intriguing details regarding the meeting, is that AEG's Ceo is Tim Leiweke, who is the former owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves—which is another reason to believe the Vikings could very well be headed to Los Angeles.
As the lingering lockout is still in place, the fans of Minnesota are simply in lingo as they await the future of their beloved Vikings franchise.
The fan base out in Minnesota is definitely a strong one, and it'd be a devastating loss to the state of Minnesota if they were to lose their NFL franchise to Los Angeles—just like what the Lakers did back in 1960.
